Walter Baker Sports Centre Sports Conditioning Program Trust us to develop your team training program! We will custom design your program in accordance to the biomechanical needs of your athletes! Through proper movement analysis we will administer a training program to assist your team in achieving optimal performance! Do not miss out on this opportunity. Only a few training slots are available. Please contact Kristy Kilcup, Fitness Coordinator at: 613.580.2424 x 30326 or by emailing: Kristy.Kilcup@ottawa.ca

PACKAGES WBSC Conditioning Packages are broken down as follows: Pre-Season; In-Season; Post-Season; Two Season; All Year Round The Pre-Season package works on pre-habilitation exercises relating specifically to ROM in joints, balance skills and core conditioning; In-Season package continues to develop ROM, balance and core conditioning while incorporating strength, agility and speed training principles; Post-Season package focuses on neural and muscular recovery through the progressive aerobic base training, regaining flexibility and proper ROM in joints as well as re-establishing proper motor function through low resistive movement training (post-rehabilitative care); Two Season package includes either Pre-Season and In-Season or In- Season and Post-Season conditioning; All Year Round package includes Pre-Season + In-Season + Post-Season training. Prices will vary depending upon the number of training weeks for each season.

TIMES Movement Screening (1 session) and Program Orientation (2 sessions) (All teams must be screened and must attend program orientation these sessions do count towards your package) The movement screening allows us to determine the strengths and weakness of each athlete so that we can provide a thorough program. Your athletes should wear athletic attire for this session. The movement screening only needs to be conducted when your team moves through a new phase in the program design (ex., in-season to post-season). The program orientation consists of two training sessions where the Master Trainer will discuss and implement the program with the assistance of one of our trainers. After the two orientation sessions are complete your team will continue to train with the Trainer that has been assigned. A Program Orientation (2 sessions) must be completed each time a new program has been created to ensure the athletes and designated Trainer have been educated on the execution of the program lead by the Master Trainer. When continuing with a new session in the same training phase (ex., continuing with an in-season package for another 8 weeks), a movement test will be conducted to determine improvements and new baseline strength measures. Choose one of the following timeslots for your three sessions: Sep - June 30: Mondays or Wednesdays Tuesdays or Fridays Saturdays July - August 31: Saturdays Saturdays 8 9PM 7:15-8:15PM 11:30-12:30PM 4-5PM 11:30-12:30PM 11:30 12:30PM 2:45 3:45PM 4-5PM

Program Development (remaining sessions) Once your team has successfully completed the Movement Screening and two Program Orientation sessions they will continue their training with the Trainer that was assigned. Please choose the time slot that best suits your team for the remainder of your sessions. Note, due to popularity of this program, timeslots are booked quickly. Please review our payment policy and ask me any questions you may have prior to booking. SPORTS NUTRITION Now more than ever, athletes need to acquire sports nutrition information. Optimal nutrition is an INTEGRAL part of sport performance. An inadequate diet before, during and after sports can severely limit an athlete s potential for maximum performance. Sports nutritional counseling will help: - optimize fuel use so that you remain energized throughout your training - understand that providing the right nutrients, in the right amount at the right time will help with the recovery process required from your training so that you are ready for your next practice or competition - Essential and sufficient nutrients can keep you healthy and be able to fight off infection, limiting the suppression of the immune system often experienced with intense training Please see registration form for booking times. Cost: $60/hour (for entire team + parents/coaching staff) Did You Know? Our lower gym was recently renovated in order to offer various sports specific training modalities.

PAY BEFORE YOU PLAY POLICY The City of Ottawa has a strict pay before you play policy and as such, all packages must be paid in full prior to starting any of our training programs. Prices are based upon a maximum number of 12 participants. Reserving your training time slot Due to the sheer volume of sports teams in Barrhaven, the following procedures must be followed to allow every opportunity for all teams to enjoy these services. Please contact me either via email or by phone: Kristy.Kilcup@ottawa.ca, or 613.580.2424 x 30326 to discuss availability and the various packages. Once a timeslot has been tentatively reserved, you will have 48 hours to come in and pay for your package. If payment is not received within the 48 hours, your timeslot will be made available to the next team on the waiting list. No exceptions. To renew your package, please provide two weeks notice so the same timeslot can be guaranteed. If payment is not received within 48 hours of the next session s start date, you will lose your time slot to the next team on the waiting list. Cancellation Policy Please provide a minimum of 48 hours notice if you are unable to attend a session. Otherwise, you will be charged in full for the session. Do to sheer volume of users, we do not allow for more than one cancellation/rebooking to take place. However, we make every attempt to accommodate your schedule and include a section on the registration form for dates that you cannot attend and will not book sessions on those dates. Cancellations must be made by contacting Kristy Kilcup at 613.580.2424 x 30326 or by email: Kristy.Kilcup@ottawa.ca You may receive a refund for the remaining balance of a package if you cancel before the mid-way mark of your session (example week 4 of an 8 week package or week 6 of a 12 week package). If more than 50% of the package is completed, no refund will be provided. A $25 processing fee is charged for refunds paid by cheque or credit card.
