Greg Graham has won a position as a Review Officer, something he had been doing in an acting role whilst he has been away from the school this year. He has now been appointed for 3 years. This means the Principal position will be advertised in term 1 of 2019, with the appointee to start at the beginning of term 3. I have been appointed to remain in the Principal position until then. I willingly agreed to do this as I believe we will benefit from the continuity as we continue the developments of the past few years. Plus I like working here! Teacher staffing You may have heard that Tish Brett has won a position at Black Forest Primary School starting next year. More will be said about Tish in future Newsletters. Pam Madden and Vicki Garrard have both retired. One of the vacancies has been filled via the Education Department placement process. We are fortunate to have an experienced teacher in Paul Stewart appointed to the school. PARENT OPINION SURVEY Within the next week we will be distributing information to allow you to contribute to our annual opinion survey. Most people will be able to access the survey online but the opportunity will exist to complete a paper copy if that is desired. Whilst anonymity is part of the process the collated information is used to inform our future plans. It also forms part of the Annual Report which is presented to the School AGM early 2019. A large response rate improves the accuracy and validity so I encourage you to be involved as much as you can. CHILDRENS UNIVERSITY GRADUATION What a pleasure it was to witness the graduation certificate presentation to our students involved in this program.
