1 Why Automation? If there is a task that you do more than twice, you should seriously consider automating it. Automation is a powerful, innovative way, to help differentiate your practice, enhance the patient experience, and grow your practice revenue. This is not to imply that we don t need humans. In fact, our automation platform is designed to relieve the stress on you and the other humans working in your practice to enable them to focus on the most important thing in the practice YOUR PATIENTS! Automation in a hearing health care practice will reduce the amount of time, human error, and effort spent on doing tasks that need to be done, but never seem to get done (or don t get done right, or don t get done every time, etc.). Automation is also designed to enhance and maintain relationships with your patients both new & current patients. AUDMA s Automation is helping practices across the country grow on autopilot. AUDMA s core value is simple: help audiology private practices differentiate and dominate. With so many people in your community living with untreated hearing loss and so many options for them to choose, it is important that your practice craft a message that is different, work hard to get that message out to everybody, and work efficiently to deliver the message! Recent advances in innovation have brought automation techniques to the hearing health care industry. Automation is used by the best companies in the world. As an example, Disney has an automation system that enriches your experience at their parks before, during, and after your visit. Apple uses automation to communicate specific message to specific customers (i.e. if you have a.edu e-mail address, you will receive promotions about products specifically related to improving your education). AUDMA has 23 proven and tested automation campaigns that are designed to speak directly to your patients no matter what point in the treatment cycle they are at (i.e. prospect vs. tested not treated vs. current patient). This system is the first of its kind in the Audiology world and the results are overwhelming. Below is a snapshot of some of the successful AUDMA clients: Most doctors are busy seeing patients and running a practice and can t do it all themselves. You really need a team behind you to make this happen. Erik and AUDMA get it. - Dr. Greg Moore, Sun City, AZ AUDMA has helped grow our practice exponentially since we ve been able to automate a very personal relationship. I can t wait to see what the next phase of our relationship with AUDMA will bring! Amy Sapodin, New York City, NY

2What is a Patient Education System? There are over 40 Million people living with untreated hearing loss. Perhaps the most important job of a hearing health care provider is to educate patients on the importance of investing in the right hearing loss treatment. With lots of uncertainty coming our way (i.e. OTCs, Managed Care, Big-Box Pharmacy Hearing Aid Outlets, etc.), now is the most important time to find a way to differentiate and get your message through to your community. But. How can you possibly find the time to effectively communicate the importance of treating hearing loss with every prospective patient your community? How can you possibly find the time to nurture and educate every current patient in your database? How can you possibly find the time to reach out to every tested not treated patient in your database? Unless you have a team of 100+ people ready, able, and willing to do this for you (or you somehow figured out cloning) it is just not possible. Here are three scenarios that have driven our team to develop a Patient Education System: 1) Imagine if you could have a conversation with every new patient before they ever step foot in your door so that when a new patient does show up for his/her appointment, they are coming to have a test and begin treatment that same day! 2) Imagine you were able to sit at a café and share a caramel macchiato with every current patient in your database every single month (perhaps even twice a month!) and tell them all about the importance of their current treatment, catch them up to date on the recent evidence-based practice reports about hearing loss and its impact on overall health and cognitive wellness, and to teach those with older technology about the benefits of new technology and treatment plans that will significantly benefit them (i.e. teach them about why then need to come in and invest in new devices!). 3) Imagine you could have an ongoing conversation with every patient who has rejected the medical treatment of hearing loss (i.e. your tested not treated list) and help them understand the benefits of treatment, provide them more detailed answers to their questions about treatment and technology, and to help them understand the importance of returning to your practice and investing in proper hearing health care to benefit them, their family and their overall health.

While I have not met every hearing health care practice owner, I can say, unequivocally, that I have not met a single practice owner who has the time, or the person power, to make these things happen. I can also say with confidence that every practice owner I have ever met did wish they had a system in place to do all of these things (and more!). A Patient Education System is specifically designed to convey the right message to the right patient at the right time. This System must be able to communicate effectively and successfully with prospective patients, current patients and tested not treated patients. The content in our Patient Education System is the first of its kind that is designed from the ground up by private practice owners, hearing health care providers and with direct input from patients! After all, if a system is built for our patients,we must ensure the messaging resonates with them! In combination with automation, a Patient Education System helps you build relationships, maintain relationships and strengthen relationships to create loyal patients that will stay with your practice for life. P.E.S. Educate! Build Relationships! Create Loyalty!

THE POWER OF THE. AUDIOLOGY MARKETING AUTOMATION 3Patient Multiplier System Okay, I ll be honest, I made that title just to get your attention! AUDMA s Patient Education System contains an added bonus feature the Patient Multiplier System. What started out as a belief that every patient should be able to refer at least 2 friends and family, has now turned in to a highly sophisticated, tried and proven, Patient Multiplier System that can dramatically increase the number of internal referrals. After meeting with and surveying thousands of patients, we discovered that patients truly want to refer their friends and family to their hearing specialist, but they don t know how! While that may seem counter-intuitive because it appears relatively easy for somebody who believes in you to speak highly about you, the vast majority of patients don t know how, when, or what to say. The Patient Multiplier System teaches your patients more about you, your practice philosophy, your treatment methods, and helps them to brag about how great their hearing health care provider is! In addition to helping your patients refer, the Patient Multiplier System also has a program specifically designed for physicians in your community including physicians that already refer, as well as physicians that should be referring to you! AUDMA has specific marketing and nurture campaigns intended to educate physicians in your community on why your practice is the leading expert in hearing health care in your community. This system, comprised of newsletters, faxes, etc... conveys your desire to educate and help more patients in your community. It helps referring physicians understand your practice philosophy, advances in treatment protocols and technology for your mutual patients, and helps them to understand the importance of early identification and treatment of individuals living with hearing loss. Caution: a well-crafted P.M.S. that can train your patients and community physicians to refer more patients can dramatically reduce your external marketing spend!! 2 5 25 100 400 = = = = DAY 1 MONTH 2 MONTH 5 MONTH 12 MONTH 24

4What is the True Lifetime Value Of a Patient? When a practice combines a good hearing care provider (defined as a person who shows empathy, has good listening skills, and makes the appropriate medical recommendation for treatment) with a powerful Patient Multiplier System, it can expect to see a significant increase in the (monetary) lifetime value of each patient. Below is a simple equation to estimate the lifetime value of a patient: Initial Investment + Future Investment (upgrades) + Investment from Referrals = Lifetime Value The average ASP of a current AUDMA client is $5,800 per patient (per pair). If we use $5,800 and insert this value into the equation and take a conservative approach to the # of upgrades and the # of referrals, the lifetime value equation is as follows: $5,800 (initial investment) + $11,600 (patient upgrades technology two times) + $17,400 (3 referrals that invest in treatment) = $34,800 Is the lifetime value of your patients close to $35,000? If not, we can help you reach this goal.

5 System Right For My Practice? Is Automation & A Patient Multiplier We have developed a simple Automation Quiz to help you to see if your practice can benefit from a proven Automation and Patient Education System. Would your practice benefit from? 1) More new patients that are pre-educated and ready to commit to treatment on day 1 (i.e. increasing your providers conversion rates )? 2) Increasing the lifetime value of current patients, i.e. having more current patients upgrade treatment technology / hearing aids when needed? 3) Spending less time convincing patients about the benefits of treating hearing loss and/or bartering with price shoppers? 4) Automating front office tasks (i.e. sending out physician newsletters, patient newsletters, thank- you cards, birthday cards, event invitations, etc., etc., etc.) 5) Multiplying every new patient into 3 new patients (i.e. developing a Patient Multiplier System)? If you have answered YES to any of these questions, we guarantee that AUDMA s Automation and Patient Education System will change your practice, forever!

I hope you ve found this report helpful. Hopefully you ve learned some areas that you can improve your own marketing, nurture and education strategies and understand the areas that we can help. If you feel like you don t have the time or staff to implement all of these ideas and systems yourself - don t worry we can help! You are not alone.
