God saw you getting tired And a cure was not to be So He put His arms around you And whispered, Come to me With tearful eyes we watched you And saw you pass away Although we loved you dearly We could not make you stay A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands at rest God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. Doris, we love you dearly and will miss you so much. But we understand that you are at peace now and resting in the arms of Jesus. So rest now our beautiful child and we prepare to meet you one day in heaven! We love you, Mom and Dad.

She gave me life when it started She stayed with me and never parted She held me close when I fell down She wipes the tears from my little eyes She understood my baby talk Mama was there when I started to walk So I thank God Truly thank God Thank God for my momma Mama taught me right from wrong Mama taught me my first song Mama taught me how to pray Mama taught me the Lords Prayer Mama taught me that God will never change Just call on his Holy name So I thank God, truly thank God thank God for my mama I hope I'm going to see my mother up in heaven some sweet day So I thank God Truly thank God Thank God for my mama ~ Your girls

When looking for exceptional people to look up to, I didn't have to look far because I had you! I thank God for allowing me to be blessed to have you in my life. I admired your strength, determination, work ethic and most of all the unconditional love you had for your family. You were and will continue to be one of my greatest inspirations in life. I love you

The family of the late Doris Ann (Manning) Davis wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love, concern and kindness shown to their family during this hour of bereavement.
