5 Written by Michael Couch My dad was my hero. He was everyone's friend. He was the first to lend a helping hand and the last sometimes to leave. have not always been the best son, know that when moved back to California my dad and mom welcome me back with open arms. did my best to make my dad proud ofme, and know in recent years have met that goal. When my parents told me they planed on moving out ofla was so happy, Kerry and had already moved to Arkansas and we did all we could do to talk them into moving out here with us. Well we must have made it sound great because they came out. Sometimes it was stressful with the four of us living under one roof. But it was also the best of times. can remember when my parents came out to visit for a few weeks and Kerry and were building pastures with T Post. My dad and drove about 70 in one afternoon and he loved it and was ready the next day to put some more in the ground and run fence. He always looked so happy out in the field. He couldn't get enough ofour horses; he would always be there to help with feeding or blankets. He would tell me how much he loved to see the horses come to his backdoor so he could feed them carrots. He also loved to watch Kerry ride the horses around the property. can remember when he was sick and Kerry had a horse show he was so disappointed that he was not well enough to go because ofthe pain he was in. He would look through his living room window and watch Kerry and me with the help of Linda, Uncle Earl, John, Margaret, Sirena and Josh putting up the wood fence for the new pasture, he would tell me how much he wished he could be out there with us. He truly was a Cowboy in heart and soul He influenced me more then think he'll ever know. miss my dad; wish he could be here in March was Rosie gives us a new foal. saw how he loved our newest baby Jackie and all the other horses. could go on and on so just want to say; Dad love you and miss you. No one could have done a better job then you. You are my hero and we will all miss you tremendously.
6 This poem represents Dads love for Mom Married Life to love is to help and encourage. with smiles and sincere words of praise. To take time to share, to listen and care in tender affectionate ways. To love is to have someone special on whom you can always depend. To be there thru the years. Sharing laughter and tears as a partner, a lover, a friend. To love is to make special memories of moments you love to recall of all the good things that married life brings Love is the greatest ofall.
7 Robert Jay Couch, (Bob) Bob, was a Husband, Father, Friend and brother to Twins Earl and, He was our "Little" brother. Bob came into the world, at home, weighing more than both Earl and combined weight, at birth. You could say he was a big boy. Bob continued to grow, and as an adult he was the tallest and yes, "the largest" of the three brothers, but always, he was our little brother. As brother so often do, we had our disagreements but were always there to help and protect each other. Bob also had the biggest laugh. Came from his heart. To me, he was always looking at the positive side. During his battle with cancer he showed me what a fighter is made of. He will always be my Hero. Words alone cannot express the sadness in my heart, or the feeling ofhappiness that Bob is without pain and in a better place. will miss our weekly telephone calls, and his laugh. He just made me feel good. Bob gave me two special gifts: was the last person to talk with him and be able to tell him that love him and Bob was able to tell me he loved me. His words will always be in my heart. Bob gave me a very special second gift. t was around 4 AM in the morning in Washington, on the morning ofhis passing. was getting dress to go to work. Chrys was in the kitchen making coffee and tea when she heard her name called out "Chrys", "Chrys". She came back to the bedroom and asked if had called her. had not. know now, it was Bob telling Chrys to be with me, because would hear the news ofhis passing and he wanted her to be with me. Bob was special and we had a special bond. will miss you "Little Brother" love you Ed.
