No? Neither did I, but Michael Syman-Degler did, and he s more than happy to talk about it. Our FPA Chapter also purchased the video tapes (DVDs, actually) and you re more than welcome to check them out from our library at Socially Responsive Financial Advisors. If you re interested, contact Tish Hathaway at 686-1908 or by e-mail at Patricia@ResponsiveFinancial.com. There s no charge to chapter members. It s the goal of your Board of Directors to add to the library as interesting topics come up and our finances permit. There s been a change to our April meeting. Max Bolka, Comprehensive Business Consulting, was scheduled to come for our April 18 meeting. He is no longer able to make it, but your program committee has done an excellent job of securing Andrew Foster of Matthews Asian Fund to talk to us about the Asian markets from a money manager s prospective. The bigger change is that Andrew was not available on the 18 th, so our April meeting has been moved to Monday, April 17. Please mark your calendars it should be an excellent presentation with CE credit available. Our February meeting features Jason Hellburg and Bill Driver of John Hancock. They will educate us on Creating Private Pension Plans, talking about income solutions in variable annuities and the pros/cons and pitfalls of guaranteed income solutions. Jason and Bill will present from 1:00-2:00 pm, which has been approved for one hour of CFP CE. For insurance people needing their ethics credit, we re offering Insurance Ethics by John Lenz of Lenz Financial as the afternoon portion of the February meeting from 2:00-4:00 pm. I know you ll enjoy John s entertaining and informative way of presenting the information. I hope to see everyone at the DAC on February 21. Linda S. Thomas-Bush, CFP, CTFA President, Mid-Oregon Chapter
