1 President s Message Hello Members, Welcome to May and International Internal Audit Awareness month. Contained in this month s newsletter are some ideas on promoting the profession with your organization. Don t forget that in May, you can get the application fee waived for the CIA exam and the IIA is also offering 25% off the IIA s CIA Learning System until May 31 st. In April, we had two great events, our 40 th Anniversary Celebration at the Hotel Bethlehem and the Spring Seminar on Ethics and Outsourcing in Fogelsville. I would like to personally thank the committee of Marianne Marks, Debra Bealer, and Doreen Wynn for helping to put on an enjoyable Anniversary celebration, complete with great food, an entertaining comedian, and even better camaraderie. In addition, many thanks go to Debra Bealer and Michael Costa for putting the Spring Seminar together at the last minute with outstanding attendance. I appreciate each individual who assisted with an event this year, we could not do this without each of you. Yet to come in May is the Annual Social at the Iron Pigs on May 30 th and one last allday seminar hosted by Olympus on May 31 st. Thank you to Doreen Wynn and Bill Lees for coordinating the Seminar with Olympus. The chapter year is coming to a close and I would like to thank each of the Officers, Board Members, and Committee Chairs for all of their support and assistance throughout the year. We had many successful events and more than a few hurdles to manage this year. I couldn t have made it through without all of your help. Payment for all events is preferred at the time of registration. Breakfast and Dinner meetings may be paid at the door, but cancellations after registration period cannot be refunded. Payments for any other Chapter event must be made no later than the close of the registration period. If payment is not made by this time, then stand-by registrants will replace unpaid registrants as attendees. The Chapter incurs fixed costs when arranging a Chapter event, so any cancellation (paid or unpaid) after the close of the event registration cannot be refunded, nor applied to a future Chapter event. 2

We are again offering a flat rate of $10 for members and their families, so take advantage of this great opportunity to come out to the ball park see a game and network and reconnect with others. We will also hold elections for our Officers, Board of Governors, and Committee Chairs.
