As we come to the end of an exciting year, we have lots of festive activities to join, including Christmas celebrations and International day of People with a Disability. Our very own Elona will be retiring this year, so make sure you help her celebrate in style and attend our lunch! Details throughout the Newsletter. INFORMATION Page 5 INFORMATION TNC Inc. would like to take this opportunity to wish all our Members and Sponsors a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. TNC will be closed from Thursday the 20th of December and we will re open on Wednesday the 2nd of January 2012. Activities will recommence on Thursday 10th of January. Hi Everyone, Did you know you can also book your activities by email. Choose what activities you want to come along to and email TNC at: tnc@iprimus.com.au Alternatively you can phone or return the booking form by post. HO HO HO, It s TNC s Christmas Raffle time again. The cost of the tickets are $1 per ticket or 3 for $2. Tickets can be purchased from the TNC office from early October. If you would like to sell tickets on TNC s behalf just let the Staff know. The Prizes include: First Prize: Huge Christmas Food Hamper Second Prize: Dinner & Show for 4 at the Major Oak Theatre Restaurant Third Prize: Garden Supplies Fourth Prize: Electricals from the GOOD GUYS Fifth Prize: Mystery Prize Money raised will go towards new outdoor furniture. Thank you again to all the Organisations which made donations including; Inner Wheel of Blacktown, Major Oak Restaurant, Good Guys, and Scotts Australia.

INFORMATION Page 6 Full of charm, wit and surprises, it s a hit! The Addams Family, Broadway s smash hit musical is coming to the Capitol Theatre in March 2013. The musical brings the deliriously delightful world of Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, Grandma, Wednesday, Pugsley and Lurch to spooky and spectacular life. Currently TNC is taking expressions of interest for tickets. The cost is approx $150 per ticket. Price may be subject to change depending on numbers attending. No day/date has be finalised to attend the show. If you are interested, put you name down on booking day Tuesday the 30th of October. More details will follow for those members who book in. It s now time to renew your membership for 2013. Cost of membership is $15. Please complete the enclosed forms and return to TNC with the appropriate fee before 20th December 2012.

Sunday 18th Nov Meet: TNC @ Sargent Centre Booking: Required Cost: N/A Time: 12 3pm After 26 years working at TNC, our fearless Leader, Elona Lang has decided to hang up boots and retire. To celebrate Elona s retirement we are having a lunch for her. If you and your family would like to wish Elona all the best this will be your opportunity. Elona has been at the forefront of many successfully projects for TNC but in recent years the most notable has been; ensuring that TNC Inc has a premises in the new Sargents Centre and that TNC was successfully in securing a donation for a bus from the Goodman Foundation. Elona will be taking extended leave from January 2013, (so you will still see her around until then) and will officially retire in July/August 2013. On behalf of the Service Users, Volunteers, Board of Governance and Staff we wish Elona all the best in her future endeavours. BYO Alcohol Tuesday 27th Nov International Day of People with a Disability (IDPWD) is a time to celebrate! It is a time to think positively about what people with a disability have achieved and can achieve, instead of focusing on human limitations. Saturday 8th Dec It s time to dress up in your race day best we re going to Rosehill Races to enjoy a day of racing, or if you like, simply a day of fashion! Girls don t forget to wear a nice dress, and guys look your best for a day on the green! Meet/Pick up: TNC @ Sargents Centre Time: 10.30am to 3.30pm Cost: $20 includes entry plus SU Fee Bring: Camera, money for lunch and train fare. Bookings: REQUIRED Wednesday 12th Dec It s party time! Come along and join us tonight at Blacktown Workers for TNC s Christmas Party. What a night we have planned, there will be a live performance by a band called the BANDITS, dancing and a sit down Christmas dinner. The Christmas Raffle will also be drawn tonight. So, make sure and bring in any last minute ticket sales. Don t forget to dress up in your favourite Christmas outfit for the evening festivities. First stop will be reptile world then the Entrance for lunch, and to watch the pelican feeding.
