Empowering Your Mindset The 3 keys to empowering an abundance vitality mindset that is powerful and a creative force are awareness, releasing and/or shifting limiting beliefs and gratitude. Building Awareness Building awareness about yourself in all capacities helps you identify what you want to change, keep, or improve about yourself. This is more then just about identifying limiting beliefs and blocks and negative thought patterns. You can also identify your values, strengths, and desires through building awareness about yourself. Ways to improve and build awareness: From education like the workshop videos Journaling practices Meditating Talking with friends about the deep things Taking available psychometric tests. Practicing and developing emotional literacy Releasing/Shifting Limiting Beliefs My favorite technique for shifting and releasing limiting beliefs and negative thought patterns is EFT, also known as Tapping. Tapping works directly through the nervous system addresses both emotions and the flight or fight response in the body. It involves tapping with your fingers on a specific pattern of acupuncture points while saying/thinking/feeling your limiting beliefs. There are lots of techniques for tapping. I teach my technique in the Vibrating Vitality Solution. It involves more stream of consciousness thoughts, and focuses less on the positive and more on neutralizing the stress. Below is another favorite technique releasing limiting beliefs Releasing Limiting Belief Exercise The following exercise is detailed in Joe Vitale s book The Attractor Factor. This version is slightly adapted. You will need 2 pieces of paper and a pen. o On the 1st piece of paper describe the limiting belief you feel you are experiencing. o Feel the emotions associated with it. Even though this will not likely feel very good, the more you are in the feeling of the situation, the more likely you are to release it. o Visualize all those feelings being transferred into the paper like magic. Release them from you. You can visualize a cloud like vapor, or maybe dust or goop, however you visualize that belief, and transfer it into the paper. o Next, on the 2nd sheet paper describe the ideal belief or situation you would like to have. Imagine that fully. Fully participate in the vision, really feeling the joy and other feelings associated with it. Immerse yourself in the feel good. o Now destroy the first sheet. o Destroy it however you see fit - safety precautions of course. Finally carry the 2nd sheet around with you for at least a week. Look at it, and re-feel those good feelings every time you do and step into the vibration of your new belief. Gratitude Gratitude is an incredibly easy practice to start, because it takes no extra time out of your day. It s truly powerful in helping you step into a new vibration of abundance, energy, and good. And while I think end of the day gratitude journals that are often recommended are fantastic, the practice I m going to share is morning gratitude because I think it s the best way to start the day.
Before you get out of bed or while you re brushing your teeth and washing face. Stick a note on your mirror until it becomes a habit. Think of the previous day. What are you grateful for? And when you think of those things really go back to the experience in your mind and feel the gratitude. Try for as many as you can, but even just 1 is good, and sometimes it is really none, and that s ok too, because you can still do part 2. What are you grateful for coming up today. Or even more simple. Just declare today is going to be great and you are grateful for the good today is bringing. In doing this you are setting and sending out a vibration that today will be good and in declaring your gratitude for it already you are solidifying the intention. You are claiming your belief that it is so.
