Welcome to Thessaloniki Dear colleagues, On behalf of AOSpine Europe, we would like to welcome you to this first South Eastern European Flagship Event: The AOSpine Advanced Symposium on Degenerative and Trauma Spine. The participants will have the opportunity to discuss, analyze and classify spinal fractures as well as degenerative diseases of the spine and give their own solution in each case. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to listen from experts evidence based lectures, raise questions and debate. Suggestions from the faculty for the best treatment selection based on the available evidence, motor preservation and alignment as well as recognition and treatment of complication will be an important part of the event. Description of the Symposium This case-based symposium aims to provide a comprehensive overview of degenerative spine and spinal cord injury and improve knowledge in spine fracture classifications, treatment of spinal cord injuries and of management of degenerative disc disease regarding surgical techniques and therapeutic strategies. Each case study will be completed with a dedicated lecture from top experts in the field. Target Participants This event is targeted at surgeons (orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons and other specialists) between 3 to 10 years of experience in spine surgery who are aiming to further improve their performance in the management of Degenerative and Trauma Spine.
