FRATERNAL ORDER OF EAGLES & 1254 630 South 6th Street La Crosse, Wisconsin 54601 UPCOMING EVENTS: September 29: Pre Oktoberfest Party and fundraiser for the Heart Fund 6-10pm Jeff and Mary Jo are raising money for the Heart Fund Charity and will have raffles, food, and entertainment going 6-10 pm until gone. Excellent German Bratwurst will be featured! With German potato salad and all the fixins. October 15: State Project Packer Tailgate Party The game starts at 12 noon and we will have raffles, snacks and grandma s goodies. October 28: Halloween Party 6pm Close On Kue Karaoke. Costume Contest. Drink special. Snacks. We have a NEW Facebook page! Please go out and like the new page so you can stay tuned with what s going on at our Club. Our new name is: Eagles Club 1254 LaCrosse, WI Sunday Funday Committee Fall is getting closer and there will be more folks coming in for Sunday Fun-day, So please make sure you buy a chance on our weekly raffle items. We have a nice start on our kitty for the back room remodel. As we get closer to the actual make over we will put out a sign up list. Sunday Morning Club DATE CHANGE NOV. 5TH TO 12TH The Sunday Morning Club will start on Oct 8th 10:30am and will continue Nov. 12th, Dec 10th (RABBIT FEED) 2017, then Jan 7th, Feb 11th, March 11th & April 8th 2018. All & members are welcome to be a member. Cost is $25 per season and includes a delicious lunch (except Dec 10th) & cheap drinks. We usually play games. Saturday November 25th 4:30 til gone Proceeds for Rotary Lights/ Food Pantry State Aux Calendar Raffles 18 Once again the auxiliary has 100 State auxiliary calendars for sale for $10 each. You have a chance to win more than once throughout the year of 2018. If you see Alice or Ann or another auxiliary sister just ask to buy one and they can get one for you from the auxiliary area. This is for the State Ways and Means fund. The cutoff date is November 1st. These calendars also make great Christmas gifts. Please help us with the sales.

Eagles Club Events and News Brothers, Worthy Presidents Message Fall is rapidly coming upon us which means Oktoberfest! This year, instead of a post parade party we will be hosting a pre-parade party on Sep.29th. Don't forget about our other activities; Monday night bingo, Hearts drawing on Friday night, and drawing on Saturday night. Worthy Secretary s Message Brothers, Last month we had the privilege of the Grand Madam Present visiting our. Part of her message was that the s and Auxiliaries need start working together to enable survival of our great organization. I couldn t agree more; and in that spirit the and will be working together this year on The bar food kitchen is a great success as sales increase every week, Sundays we have $1.00 off all appetizers, Tuesdays are tacos all day, the kitchen is open seven days a week 10 until close so come on down for some great food. I would also like to add that our meetings on the 2nd and 4th Thursday are lacking in participation. We need you to attend these meetings to learn what goes on in your club. Instead of hearing the rumors at the bar, attend a meeting and get the facts. several occasions raising money for our Eagle charities. Mary Jo and I are kicking this of and will be raising money for the Heart Fund on Friday September 29th during the Oktoberfest kick off party. Please come down and help raise money for this important charity. We are still in need of a couple officer positions, we could really use your help. Conductor and Inside Guard. Worthy President, Paul Klimek Secretary, Jeff Hay REAC NEWS Greeting to our REAC members, if you missed coming to our REAC meeting on August 21 st, you sure missed a great pot luck meeting. The food was out of this world. So many good cooks. Our trip to Taylor Falls and Turtle Lake was good. And now the next bus trip is to Meskewski casino in Tama, IA on October 8& 9 th. The bus is almost full and if you are thinking of going you will need to call Sue Stoeckly at 608-769-3148. Our next meetings will be Sept. 18 th and then on October 16 th. Eagles Club Events and News Madam President s Message Secretary's Message Sisters, State Convention was good. It was nice to see old friends and I also made some new ones. Congratulations to our ritual team for taking 1st place. The picnic was nice, the turn out could have been better but I think everybody had a good time. We are going to try something different this year. The Aux and will be having fund raisers together. The 1st one will be on Friday 9/29. There will be free food from 5-7pm, music, and raffles. Hope to see you there. Watch your newsletter for more fun things. We had a visitation from Grand Madam President Sister s the auxiliary dues that were due on May 31st, 2017 thus the time has now pasted and a final notice has been sent out to our members who are still have not responded. On September 15th, the Grand membership system will drop those members from the auxiliary roster who have not paid. So this is a final request going out to those who are past due with your dues. Why not still consider to continue to belong to our auxiliary. Please call or send in your payment before the 10th of September. To all those members who have stayed strong with our auxiliary now that we are in our new club, I thank you very much. May we continue to even grow stronger in these trying times. Sisters This starts our second Eagle year in our new building and it may be smaller that our old Your President, Mary Jo Birnbaum building but we are enjoying our new home. As we begin this new June Eagle year, let s start thinking of The auxiliary will be holding a State Project tailgate party on Sunday October 15th to raise money for the State President s State project which is for Veterans in need. A PACKER BEAR S GAME. The game starts at 12 noon and we will have raffles, snacks, grandma s goodies. So make plans to come support the State Project. Alice and Ann Chairman. our friends or family we can bring to the club to enjoy the fellowship inside. The auxiliary will be working in the coming months to make money for charities.
