LD N EE D OR S S THETHE W W LD NEED OR a 501(c)3 organization a 501(c)3 organization Dear NICE Festival Supporter, The 4th Annual NICE Festival is scheduled for Saturday, July 6, 2019. The NICE Festival is the leading multi-cultural program for the City of Norwalk. The program features dancers, musicians, and arts vendors that reflect the diverse lifestyle that mirror the rich global heritage of Norwalk. Last July, the third staging of this event was met with astonishing success attracting more than 6,000 attendees from the greater Norwalk area and the entire Northeast. The Mayor s Office continues to support this annual event and the Department of Recreation and Parks will lead the way again as Title Sponsor in 2019. While the City of Norwalk helps in providing the basic infrastructural elements to stage the event we also need the support from local businesses and organizations like yours to sustain it. Your participation would benefit from recognition at the event and reinforce that you are part and fabric of the community at large. In addition, participation will provide the opportunity to build awareness of your business and demonstrate your commitment to promoting the arts, and grow cultural tourism and economic development. Your charitable tax-deductible participation of the NICE Festival is critical for the success and sustainability of this important community event that captures and celebrates the essence of the rich diverse attributes of which we in Norwalk are so proud. On behalf of the dedicated volunteers who put this program together I ask that you join me in supporting this valued community program. The NICE Festival is a collaborative program with the City of Norwalk Department of Recreation and Parks, and is run under the auspices of NICE INC., a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization that seeks to promote and increase awareness of the diversity of peoples from around the world through arts and culture. The mission of NICE is to encourage the various groups that make up our society to learn about each other s traditions and customs in order to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of what each group brings to our community. Thank you in advance for your willingness to support the efforts of the NICE Festival in 2019. Your participation will make a significant difference in promoting the diverse cultural/artistic programs in Norwalk while reinforcing your business message and commitment to the community. We look forward to seeing you at The 4th Annual NICE Festival July 6, 2019 at Oyster Shell Park in Norwalk, CT. The Annual NICE Festival Engages, Inspires, Unifies and Builds Strong Communities Always a great time. Such a great concept and a way to bring everyone together. Love that it s such a positive event and just what Norwalk needs more of!...food was great, Music was great, so many great vendors, and just an overall great time. It just gets better and better. The music and cultural dance performances were incredible and I was so happy to see several vegetarian options in the food area. Thanks to all who work hard to make this happen in Norwalk. It was so NICE to see everyone enjoying this event! Great food and entertainment! Well done! Such a beautiful display of our multicultural city! I m proud to be a resident of Norwalk and thank all of those involved in putting this together! What a great time!... I enjoy taking part in anything going on in Norwalk and this is something not to be missed. We have so much to offer as a community. We should celebrate the diversity Norwalk has to offer more often! Also I love that it s like a mini food truck festival with so many different types of food to try! I look forward to the 4th annual! A day-long event filled with an abundance of cultural experiences from multiple traditions The NICE organization coordinates a unique showcase for the city of Norwalk by highlighting its diversity. The event draws in a vast array of cultures and is a wonderful learning experience for those who attend. As a public school teacher in a neighboring city, the NICE festival is the kind of environment that teachers thrive for in their classrooms. The festival promotes our differences while fostering the acceptance of humanity. Keeping the event free is a huge factor in attendance and affords everyone in community to unite. Many other festivals which have entrance fees are often cost prohibitive for those who are economically disadvantaged. Kona Ice appreciates the ability to take part in the NICE festival however more importantly is the exposure to the cultural diversity that my young children experience through the performances, exhibits, and vendors at the festival. Heartfelt THANK YOU to all our 2018 Sponsors and Donors! Leading summer festival in Southwestern Connecticut with well over 5,000 attending each year
