APPLICATION SAFETY CHALLENGES & AESCULAP SPINE SOLUTIONS FOR CERVICAL & LUMBAR SPINE SURGERY Workshop for the safe application of AESCULAP Spine Stabilization Systems mastering complex spine surgeries 27 28 June, 2019 Madrid Spain

The biggest challenges spine surgeons face today are manifold and include treatment of osteoporotic patients as well as complex surgery in cervical and lumbar spine. Managing or even preventing complications is one of our key challenges of today. The course discusses specific challenges and strategies for short- and long-term success in cervical and lumbar spinal treatments. The product training is designed for experts in spine surgery as well as spine specialists who want to gain advanced skills on treatment concepts for osteoporotic patients, cervical spine disorders like adjacent segment disease and complex occipitocervical fusions. We will also discuss sophisticated revision surgery issues and have a view on how to cope with typical pre-, intra- and postoperative complications. PREFACE This course concept provides an excellent opportunity to get both, theoretical knowledge and practical training on the safe application of the AESCULAP cervical and lumbar systems. Aim is to develop and discuss in group works different options and solutions with the Plasmapore coated AESCULAP XP Cages, the Ennovate Platform and the S4 Cervical Stabilization System. The first day will be a mixture of theoretical lectures, studies and preparation for application. The second day will be spent with practical sessions in the bioskills lab to exercise the product application. We would like to share our experience and discuss cases and patient examples together with you and show how to best and safely apply the different AESCULAP product systems. We look forward to mastering current spine challenges together, seeing you at this exciting course program in Madrid.
