An international organization of professional women who work across the energy value chain. 2018 Sponsorship Prospectus
About WEN WEN was founded in 1994 by Karyl McCurdy Lawson with the purpose of fostering the development and advancement of women in energy by developing a strong network. After years of being the sole woman on energy transactions, Karyl believed that many women energy professionals were in the same position, but unable to connect with each other. Twenty years later, WEN remains committed to providing high caliber events and networking to its diverse membership from across the energy value chain. Our mission is to develop programs to provide networking opportunities and foster career and leadership development of women who work in the energy industries. WEN offers educational, networking and leadership opportunities to approximately 4,000 women nationwide through luncheons, conferences, community initiatives, socials and mentoring programs. Message from the President & President Elect As our first year of incorporation draws to a close, we are excited to share our journey with you. We were fortunate to have women across eight companies ranging from financial services, wealth management, information services, law and manufacturing volunteer their time to form our Board of Directors. We have connected over 100 women in energy through informal conversations, educational sessions and social activities. The response level and excitement for the continual growth of the organization by individuals and corporations has been overwhelming. The year has not been without challenges as we faced into the logistics of operating a non-profit with minimal budget, increasing awareness of a new organization and maintaining the energy. While there have many accomplishments over the past year, we are also looking forward to the next chapter where we hope to increase membership enrollment, expand the programming and get more active in community services, including a mentoring partnership. All this cannot be done without your help and we hope that you can assist in helping our chapter reach its 2018 goals. Alta Yen, Managing Director, GE Energy Financial Services, President Halima Bibi Khan, Director, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, President Elect 2
