Multiple sclerosis (MS) interrupts the flow of information from the brain to the body and stops people from moving. MS is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system. Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress and severity cannot yet be predicted. While research has brought better therapies, there is no cure. NATIONAL MS SOCIETY Since its founding in 1946, the National MS Society is the leader in the fight against MS with more MS research, services for people with MS, professional educational programs, and advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world. WHY GET INVOLVED WITH A CAUSE? Since 1946, the Society has been at the core of virtually every major breakthrough to treat and understand the disease. We are currently funding more than 325 research projects worldwide, fueling more potential MS therapies in development than at any other time in history. And, many of those dollars are invested locally in the OHSU MS Center, one of the nation s leaders in MS research. We need your help to accelerate the momentum of MS research and ensure that its positive impact reaches the lives of the ones we love. Your support today brings us closer to a world free of MS tomorrow. WHY ARE CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS IMPORTANT? The National MS Society believes that moving is not just something you can or can t do, but is who you are. This is why we need companies like yours to support A Night in the Park to raise funds that drive research, change through advocacy, and provide programs and services for a growing number of people living with MS. MS research and programs are expensive, but community-supported events such as A Night in the Park enable us to generate a significant amount of funding by engaging the community in a successful and inspiring way to end MS forever. We will tailor a proposal to best fit your objectives and needs as they relate to your employees and the community. Benefits for all levels of sponsorship are far reaching and include brand and media exposure, name recognition, onsite event benefits, and employee engagement opportunities.
