Scholarship News We are pleased to announce that AWSCPA Los Angeles Affiliate awarded a $1,000 scholarship to an accounting student at Cal State University Los Angeles in November 2013. It is AWSCPA Los Angeles Affiliate s great pleasure to award scholarships to local accounting students who have worked hard to maintain high GPAs. And a big thank you to Barbara, for hosting this wonderful event. We all had a great time eating, drinking and talking the night away! Spotlight is the perfect place to introduce yourself, share experiences, and send encouragement to fellow members. We had a great time at Pepperdine! Our last Board meeting was held at the beautiful Pepperdine University. After the meeting, we viewed the Wayne Thiebaud Works on Paper exhibit at the Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art, followed by lunch at Gladstones in Malibu. Girl Power!!! Congratulations to: Dina Britten for passing the Certified Financial Planner exam and receiving her CFP license in December 2013! Also for her new position on the Board of Directors at CalCPA! Dina, you are doing great things, we are so proud of you! Annette Berko who recently reached her 20 th anniversary of working at Kirsch, Kohn & Bridge, LLP!
