N, I R As there is an ever increasing amount of technology in our lives, we would like to remind you about e-safety. Technology can be extremely helpful when used correctly. However, we are aware that some children are not necessarily doing this. It is often the case that apps might have two age ratings, depending on whether you play online or not. Any apps that require internet access and enable you to talk to other people have at least a 13+ age rating such as Instagram and Snapchat. Here are a list of some popular apps and games and their age ratings: Whats App - 16+ Fortnite - 12+ Minecraft - 7+ when offline, 13+ when online Instagram - 13+ Call of Duty - 18+ We would like to remind you that all tablets, smart TVs and apps do have parental settings and we strongly advise that you implement these for the safety of your children. If you are concerned about what your child might be accessing there are apps such as Google family link that help you to monitor this. Key Stage 1 Open Morning There is an open morning for Year 1 & 2 parents/carers on Tuesday 4th December from 8.30-8.55am. Hope you can come!

S N Change for Life On Wednesday afternoon, sixteen children from Years 3 and 4 went to Harrogate High School for the Change for Life Festival. Each child thoroughly enjoyed trying out a variety of different activities, including curling, boccia and tennis. Well done to each pupil who attended. They represented the school fantastically well.

S N Y5/6 Girls Football As promised, here is a photo of our fantastic football team who came overall 3rd in the finals at Harrogate Town Football Club last week. Ballet Alisa in Apple class took her ballet exam last week and passed with a merit, she had a fantastic time doing her exam. Willow Tree v Queen Ethelburga s Swimming Gala 35 swimmers from Y3-6 travelled to Queen Ethelburga s School on Wednesday to represent Willow Tree. Everyone had a great experience being part of the team and we had lots of super swims. There were 44 races including individual swims and team relays. It was lovely to have so many parents and grandparents supporting and cheering us on. Well done to all the swimmers for their excellent behvaiour, they were a credit to the school. Thank you to Debbie Ibberson and Mrs Chan who helped on poolside.
