Just recently I was as invited to my son s school to watch him go up on stage to receive an award for academics. This was one of the most proud days of my life. I owe this all to Creative Options. With their help and encouragement, I learned to be a better mother and understand my children. The best thing that happened to me is my self esteem has grown a lot. Thank all of you for helping us succeed in life! Creative Options has not only taught our daughter a thing or two, but our whole family has learned how to grow together, help out and be of service to our community. With the support of the terrific people in this program, I will be able to take the skills they have given me and continue to show my children that if you apply yourself and use kindness; anything is possible. A young girl came to us in the beginning of this school year with a bit of a rough start. A pattern of behaviors were observed which were often disruptive, sometimes even violent. After a number of evaluations by our developmental services team and several meetings with the girl s family, we were able to help find the necessary resources to refer and support the student in accessing comprehensive mental health services. As a result, the student no longer exhibits the negative behaviors and the family is grateful for all the support.
