The ALS Association South Carolina Chapter s vision is to create a world without ALS. Our mission is to lead the fight to treat and cure ALS through global research and nationwide advocacy while also empowering people with Lou Gehrig s disease and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support. The 2016 Ball Out Against ALS Kickball Tournament is in honor of Ben Wilson, who passed away from the disease. The following is a message from his son, Erik, who is organizing the event. I want to thank everyone for making a choice to have fun and do something great to help fight such a horrible disease. You know it's going for a great cause to help research find a cure for ALS. I love each and every one of you for taking your time to play, donate, volunteer, or spread awareness. This year we step up to the plate, as we will for many years to come, to help make the incurable, curable. It can and it will be achieved and all of you are now a fantastic part of that effort! I am forever grateful and humbled by all of you. My Pops, Ben has the best seat in the house for this tournament and I know he would look at this as one of his greatest days on earth or in heaven! All my love to each of you and thank you for inspiring and empowering me to make this stronger and stronger every year! Please join us! 8 April 26, 2016 To Whom It May Concern, I m Victoria Latham with Pozify, a local technology start up, and we are hosting a large fundraising event on behalf of the South Carolina Chapter of the ALS Association in June. Our 1st Annual Ball Out Against ALS 2016 Kickball Tournament event will be held at the Elks Lodge in Charleston, SC on June 25, 2016 starting at *:00 a.m. The 2016 Ball Out Against ALS Kickball Tournament is in honor of Ben Wilson, who passed away from the disease. The following is a message from his son, Erik, who is organizing the event. I want to thank everyone for making a choice to have fun and do something great to help fight such a horrible disease.
