In 2012 there were 75,837 treatment admissions and 73,036 discharges reported to the New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services by substance abuse treatment providers. These reports were submitted through the web-based New Jersey Substance Abuse Monitoring System (NJ- SAMS).
