I have asked students for their opinions of sustainability on campus and have logged them. I will then report them to the SU. This will help students express their thoughts and opinions of sustainability more. Promote sustainability within through Go Green Week Create my recycling bottles campaign Formulate other ways to promote sustainability Plan for Green Impact Green Impact

Welfare Officer Officer Name: Tapiwa Makaka Role: Welfare Officer Date of report: 2/02/18 I have been in contact with Chris Greaves to arrange to have the Hangar for my in March I have been in contact with some acts to fill up the lineup for the event (Spoken Word/Open Mic) I have an a clear idea of how the night will run terms of acts etc but I would like to book a host for the event. I have managed to get a local business to sponser the event. Working on a document called Student Well being in Higher Education. Gathering feedback from students about what issues affect them is the next step. The majority of my focus has been researching and planning thus far. Following on from the previous section, I have not yet been as effective as id have liked to be. I am working on how I can use my ideas and research to be small, attainable and achievable goals that can have an effect on student wellbeing. Signposting things via twitter and Facebook and creating resources is a great way to start. I hope to report back here next time with much more progress next time. Next big task is to develop a page for Welfare Officer. Currently gathering research. Research other SU s / Universities website and provision (leaflets & resources) Have the resource produced by Easter 2018 Create a resource to signpost students to welfare support Build a good social media presence on twitter and use this to inform and signpost students about things that will benefit their studies. Have at least three acts booked for the Spoken Word/Open Mic Confirm a charity (for example Student Minds) to work collaboratively with on my event There is quite a long waiting period for the counselling services. What can be done about this especially since if someone is seeking counselling, they are at the point of really needing someone to talk to/immediate relief.
