Looking awesome everyone!!

Update from Clive Welcome to the April edition of Carinbundi s newsletter where I hope you will enjoy all the latest news and photos. The hothouse at the back of 52a Hinkler Avenue I see vegetables and herbs growing well now. More work has been done recently on creating a wheelchair-friendly garden plot - watch this space for more activity areas as we develop the back yard into an Education Centre for not only our customers, but customers from other Service Providers. I am happy to announce that we are working on a project to recruit more volunteers this project is being overseen by Tania at Day Services and Mitch, WH&S. Happy Birthday to all staff and customers celebrating their birthdays in April. All areas of the business have seen a lot of activity in this past month. The Respite House continues to provide inclusive support to our customers, the L&L groups are out and about enjoying a variety of activities, Day Services continues to ensure their customers have fun whilst learning, and Supported Accommodation clients are also out in the community participating in many different activities. One of these activities that our customers are getting excited about is a Rugby Union QLD Championship being held between 2 and 5 June at Salters Oval. Thank you to all the staff working in the background to ensure our customers can be an integral part of this event by assisting where appropriate, and manning the Carinbundi marquee that you will see at the entrance to the 3-day event. The NDIS Workshops are continuing to be popular, not only with our existing customers and their families, but also with parents whose children are not currently with Carinbundi. Remember, if you haven t yet signed up to attend one of our workshops, don t delay as places are limited, and you are guaranteed to be given as much information as you need to get you started towards being NDIS-ready. Our specialised staff, Deb and Jade, are running these workshops every Tuesday here at Hinkler Avenue, from 9:00am until 11:00am, so ring Jade or Deb on 4158 9600 and book a spot, to ensure you don t miss out on these informative sessions. A big thank you to every Support Worker you are all valued and appreciated for the wonderful work you do on a daily basis. Wishing everyone a happy month ahead, and as always Carinbundi is continually working towards our mission of ensuring all customers have the best care possible, and enjoy their time with us every day. Carinbundi Melbourne Cup Morning Tea & Cent Sale Monday 6 November 2017 @ Day Services If you would like to donate any non-perishable items for our cent sale prizes it would be greatly appreciated.
