Khizra Mosque & Community Centre Annual report 2017/2018. MASJID Khizra Mosque is a centre of religious devotion to the one God, who we know as Allah. Khizra Mosque is not only a Mosque but actually a vibrant community Centre, located in the heart of Manchester. However, our faith has led us to make our mosque into a vibrant community Centre for all the people of the area, of all faiths and none. We manage an inclusive, caring environment for children and adults making a positive contribution to their lives and, in turn, encouraging and supporting them to make a real difference to the district and society generally, such that Manchester can be proud of them. This Mosque and community Centre was established in Cheetham Hill in the 1970 s and moved to its present site in 1990. We are a non-sectarian based Mosque open to everyone. The Centre is part of UKIM which is the oldest Islamic organisation in the U.K. and has been operating for over 55 years. We have prayer facilities for men and women and cater for those with disabilities. We have over 1000 people attend the Centre on most days of the week and over 3000 attendees on Friday s. We welcome visitors of all faiths and none.
