Mended Hearts Chapter 296 Board Contacts President s Message Happy 2019 and welcome to your January 2019 Newsletter. Wow, another year! 2018 seemed to fly by so fast! I want time to slow down so we can enjoy the fruits of our world. I hope this past Holiday season was a joyous one for you and your families. Our January meeting is being held at Advent Health (formerly named Florida Hospital) on East Rollins Street. Our speaker will be Ashleigh Funk and the topic is Creation at Cardiac Rehab. It should make for an interesting night. Hope you all can attend on Tuesday, January 15 at 7 pm. Just got word that on February 9, 2019 there will be a Mended Hearts Southern Region Spring Connection at the Osceola Regional Medical Center in Kissimmee. See information below: As this is the start of a new year, how about making some New Year resolutions? For example, a short walk after dinner every night; or perhaps eating less fast food? These are a couple of ideas you can consider for your New Year resolutions. Make sure that you set realistic goals so that you will continue with them. Too often the goals we make are not realistic and by February we are no longer continuing with them. I wish you success in whatever you choose! I would like to comment on our Holiday Party. I think everyone had a great time. The food was good, the gift exchange was fun with lots of laughs and Carl s rum cake was delicious as was the 2-layer cake. Thanks to all who attended to make our Party a special event! In closing, on behalf of myself and your Chapter Board, we wish you a Healthy, Happy 2019! Peace, Larry President Larry Sartori 407-909-1269 Vice President Corrie Crum 407-730-2577 Secretary Linda Burns 407-277-0918 Treasurer Claire Jones 407-380-6042 Visiting Chair Mike Weber 407-814-8890 Hospitality Membership Joan Sartori 407-909-1269 Programs Sharry Tamayo 407-421-0136 Joanna Gerry 407-841-5164 Betsy Mckeeby 407-637-1013 Social Functions Chair Corine Weber 407-814-8890 Newsletter Gary Szasz 407-342-1400 Upcoming Events January 15 - Monthly Meeting at AdventHealth (last page) February 9 - Cluster Meeting at Osceola Regional Medical Center (7) Chapter 296 1

Puzzle Solution Managed to get rid of my mean boss yesterday after he had a heart attack in office. If only he d allow personal calls on company time, I d phone him an ambulance. An old man just had a heart transplant and was getting instructions from his doctor. He was placed on a strict diet, denied tobacco and alcohol, and advised to get at least eight hours of sleep a night. What about my sex life?" asked the old man "Will it be all right for me to have intercourse? "Only with your wife," said the doctor. "We don't want you to get too excited. Chapter 296 4
