Women's Club News February 23, 2018 View this email in your browser. Dear Friends, Brrr! Winter made another visit to SCW. Rain, wind, and cooler temperatures brought many members to the club this last week to enjoy games and fellowship. March will make its appearance the end of the week and our members can look forward to more activities and special events. We are going to be very busy in March. On Saturday, March 10, Kuentz Recreation Center will have its Open House. Please plan to come in between 10 a.m. and noon and have a few game tables set up so people can see what we do in our club. On Thursday, March 15th, we will celebrate St Patrick's Day with a Potato Bake (see info below). Our Day outing in March will be to the Desert Botanical Gardens on Friday, March 31st (sign up on the credenza). We will need volunteers to help with the Saturday, March 31st annual Breakfast for the Posse, Prides, and Firefighters. We will soon have a sign-up sheet available and we are counting on your participation. See you at the club this week. ICE: In Case of Emergency Ice is a method of contact during emergency situations. A paramedic realized that at scenes of accidents mobile phones were always with patients, but he didn t know which number to contact. His idea was to name a contact in your phone ICE, and list the number as your emergency contact person. The paramedics and hospital staff would know who to contact. This great idea is now circulating on the Internet nationally. I have an ICE contact in my phone now. Won t you join me? Special thanks to Diane Perry for alerting me to this message. 5
