EXAMINATION - MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEM in the study year 2018/2019 PRACTICAL PART: Exercise log for each participating student shall determine the practical skills that students must master. A test of skills (and maybe patient examination) can take place during the exercises and be confirmed by mentor's signature. Collected signatures of 10 days participation at Musculoskeletal System practice (6 days Orthopaedics, 3 days PRM, 1 day Trauma) are a prerequisite for taking the examination. WRITTEN EXAMINATION: Written exam is conducted on Wednesday, one week after the completion of the course. Written examination contributes 80 points (out of 100) to the grade and comprises of: multiple choice test (50 points = 25 questions physical medicine and rehabilitation, 20 questions traumatology, 5 questions musculoskeletal radiology) and 3 essay questions on orthopedics (30 points). The prerequisite for a positive grade and the oral exam is to achieve at least 15 points in the field of orthopedics, at least 13 points PRM, at least 11 points in traumatology and at least 3 points in skeletal radiology. ORAL EXAMINATION: Oral examination takes place the next day after the written examination at the Chair of Orthopaedics as scheduled. Oral examination is conducted by theexaminers of the Chair of Orthopedics and contributes 20 points to the evaluation grade. At the end of the exam the student obtains the grade of Musculoskeletal System based on the number of points achieved: Number of points achieved Grade 92-100 Excellent 10 84-91 Very Good 9 76-83 Very Good 8 68-75 Good 7 60-67 Satisfactory 6 0-59 Insufficient 5 REPEATING EXAMINATION / GRADE IMPROVEMENT: Repeating examination or grade improvement can only be carried out after prior application for another examination date according to the regulations of the Faculty of Medicine. The examination may be repeated only in whole (written and oral), points scored with previous tests cannot be reused.
