Mission Statement The promotes the well-being and equal status of women in Santa Barbara County. Helps women in need Collaborates with other agencies Facilitates, recognizes and recommends programs Gathers and disseminates information Conducts public meetings Advises the Board of Supervisors 2

2009-2013 Goals Accountability Will reflect and give voice to the diversity of women in our local community through public comment, our activities and Commission membership. 3

2009-2013 Goals Customer Focus Will be a resource for women to express community concerns about issues affecting children and families. Will form effective, ongoing collaborations with other community organizations that impact societal issues that affect the health, well-being, safety, and security of women in our community. 4

2009-2013 Goals Efficiency Will create a strategic relationship with the Board of Supervisors and act in a meaningful advisory capacity to the Board, encouraging and supporting them in developing and implementing programs that enhance the status and well-being of women in our County. 5
