(No Meeting) BARTENDER'S CORNER Lunches served Tuesday - Saturday Noon until 2:30 pm Fred enjoys your company for daily lunches. Please come join him and look for his delicious weekly specials and just plain fun!! PLEASE SUPPORT HIS EFFORTS!! *** R.E.A.C. stands for Retired Eagles Activity Club. Any Aerie or Auxiliary member over 55 and retired can join REAC. The annual membership fee is $5. 00. Come visit any 2 nd Tuesday of the month & become a member! MOTHER / DAUGHTER BANQUET The annual "Mother / Daughter Banquet" will be Thursday, 11 th. The sign-up sheet is behind the bar. The deadline for sign up will be 4 th, NO EXCEPTIONS as we must set the menu. Thanks to all who make this a fun and very successful event for our Charity Challenger Little League Game Days will return in the Fall!! MONTHLY RIDE SCHEDULE: Our monthly rides were set for the 3 rd Sunday of each month from through September. We will meet at the club and leave at noon. Destinations will be decided on day of ride. FUNERAL LUNCHEONS For any information regarding funeral luncheons, please contact Joyce Hansen (269) 327-3752. ANNUAL CHARITY JAM FUNDRAISING EVENT The annual Charity Jam fundraiser was held on April 22 nd at the club. We had 3 wonderful bands play this year, Jimmy Martin band Old Crows & Sabin Williams Band, along with MC Rockin Ronnie and Auctioneer Fred Newbre. A Special Thanks to all of you!!! You made the day for us! WOW!! What a wonderful turn out we had! We raised over $9,000. 00 for our charities!! Our Auxiliary offers a funeral luncheon for any member who has been a member in good standing for a minimum of 2 years. There is a minimum charge of $100 for up to 80 guests. Anything over 80 is $150. We offer this service to parents, children, or siblings of the member. ROOM RENTAL INFORMATION For any information about rental of the activity room for any party i.e.: Wedding, Birthday, Anniversary, please contact: Terry Hutchins @ (269) 998-2585 or leave a message for Terry at the club for him to contact you. For newsletter purposes, contact Uta Wooden at the club. At this time, we do not have a final figure for this years Charity Jam, but we know we topped the $9,000 mark!!! Final totals will be advertised in the June newsletter WE CANNOT POSSIBLY THANK EVERYONE: There were so many involved who made this event possible that it is just too hard to thank everyone and we don t want to leave anyone out. A HUGE THANKS to each and every member, the officers, and everyone involved who helped make this such a huge success. We know it took EVERYONE working together to make this the biggest Charity Jam Ever!!!! This just shows how strong our Aerie, Auxiliary, Eagle Riders and REAC are to be able to make these events possible!! THANKS AGAIN TO EACH AND EVERY PERSON WHO ATTENDED TO HELP MAKE THIS SUCH A HUGE SUCCESS!!! BUD ISRAELS SCHOLARSHIP FUND: BUD ISRAELS SCHOLARSHIP TO OUR MEMBERS: Anyone can make a donation or memorial contribution on behalf of loved ones at any time, to be used as part of this ongoing scholarship fund. Any & all donations are greatly appreciated as we plan to continue with our scholarship effort for years to come! Checks should be made payable to: F.O.E. 3531 Scholarship fund. Applications are being accepted for the 2016 Bud Israels Memorial Scholarship. The deadline for applications is June 30 th. The Scholarship Committee will award a scholarship to an area high school graduate (graduates). Any interested high school senior can apply, if they meet the following criteria: 1) Must have a GPA of 2.5 or better and provide a high school transcript. 2) Must have a letter of acceptance to a college, university, or technical school. 3) Must be a child or grandchild of an F.O.E. #3531 member, who has been a member in good standing for a minimum of two years. EASTER BASKET RAFFLE The winner of the Easter Basket Raffle drawn on April 7 th was Miriam Pountain REAC CASINO BUS TRIP The REAC Casino bus trip on April 25 th was once again a remarkable success, and fun was had by all!! (Some more crazy than others Art & Ron!!) Again, we would like to thank JEAN STOUGHTON for another outstanding job and to let her know she is so very much appreciated!! Thanks to all who supported this raffle. Also, a Big THANKS to Deb Bellingar for fantastic job to make this raffle a big success!! YEARLY DUES All Dues Are Up for renewal by 31 st. To ease the burden on our secretaries, it would be appreciated if you can PAY YOUR DUES EARLY Thank you!!! R.E.A.C. ANNUAL OLIE BOLLEN SALE The annual "Ollie Bollen" sale held on April 15 th was very successful! This project is a very grueling job and "HATS OFF" to Carol Davison, Jean Stoughton and all the great help who helped make this project worthwhile and such a great success!! Thanks to all who worked so hard! We Love ya! HIGHWAY PICK-UP This year's trash pickup was on Saturday April 15 th. We would like to give a great big THANK YOU to Troy Meier, Richie Thompson, and Bruce Stockwell for the hard work you did, 4 hours and 22 bags of trash. Thanks for making our adopt-a-highway look great! NEW LETTERS ON THE BUILDING As you may have noticed, FOE Aerie 3531 has been placed on the front of the building and the Eagle has been painted. We would like to thank Mike Fleck for donating the letters, Mark Israels, Bill DeYoung and John Holt for putting the letters on the building, D.W. for donating the lift truck and Randy Dailey for painting the Eagle. WONDERFUL job Gentleman! 6
