HOW CAN WE HELP? We offer a free programme of activities at all three Centres for families with children aged 0 5 years. During the school holidays we hold special events to which older siblings can come. Ask for details! The Children s Centre Team works across all three Centres and can help with: Ante-natal support in preparing for your baby and looking at those first few months Parenting help and support Dads, Grandads and male carers welcome Speech and language Understanding child development and behaviour Support for post-natal depression Difficulties with debt, benefits and housing Information about learning opportunities and getting into work Healthy eating advice Full day care by Lowestoft College (at Kirkley Children s Centre only)

Adult Learning and Employment Opportunities Would you like more information about: Confidence and Self Esteem Coping techniques and overcoming problems in daily life Help with CV writing, interview techniques, job applications - National Career Services Courses for work skills, for example, Maths, English and Computer/ICT to name but a few! Parenting courses Triple P, Solihull Family Learning First Aid Health and Wellbeing courses Indian Head massage, Aromatherapy and Hand Massage 1-to-1 support with your job search Have we missed something? Monday Groups Kirkley Children s Centre 10.00-12.00 Well Baby Clinic Health Visitors offer advice and weighing 10.00-11.30 Baby and Me A free five week course for parents and carers provided by Realise Futures Learning and Development. Ask in Centre for more details, or to book a place 1.30-2.30 Baby Play and Inbetweeners Combining both groups - Baby Play covers birth to crawling a chance to meet other babies; bring mum and dad too! Inbetweeners is toddler messy play up to 2½ years - The best of both worlds all at the same time with designated areas for each! Riverside Children s Centre 1.00-2.30 Young Parents Group Drop-in A group for young mums and dads, including mums- and dads-to-be. Indoor and outdoor play and free snack. All children aged 0-5 years are welcome. One parent must be between ages 13-24 Uplands Children s Centre 9:30-11.00 Mucky Ducks Drop-in Toddler messy play Younger brothers and sisters are also welcome! 2:00-4:00 Citizens Advice Bureau 2nd Monday of each month a drop in for those wishing to seek advice from a CAB adviser
