Workshop details Revenue Code Manual Update and Review The Revenue Code Manual Update and Review will cover both Critical Access Hospital (CAH) and Prospective Payment System (PPS) hospital updates. The session will be held over one and a half days and will include a discussion of billing coverage rules as they relate to revenue codes, the cost report, hospital departments, billing and payment. Special focus will be on those areas that cause problems with chargemaster, billing and reimbursement. Participants will receive a 600+ page manual for use during the workshop and to use as a reference, along with tools to help in setting charges and charge capture. Speaker Info Angie Martin is currently the Senior Manager of Hospital Billing and Payment with Great Plains Health Alliance s Centralized Billing Office in Wichita, KS. Angie was previously employed for 32 years with Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She has worked with hospitals for the past 22 years conducting education and assisting with billing and reimbursement issues primarily involving Medicare and Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She specializes in Medicare training, onsite review of billing and reimbursement and chargemaster reviews. She conducts educational seminars for hospital systems as well as the Pioneer Health Network, HFMA Sunflower- Colorado-Nebraska Chapters, Kansas Hospital Association, Oklahoma Hospital Association, KAHPAM, and Great Plains Health Alliance. Angie has been a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) for 14 years.
