PINES OF PEACE To Benefit From Weekly Baked Food Sales F & A Masonic Lodge 416 is proud to offer a weekly baked goods sale to benefit the Pines Of Peace in Ontario New York. Customers coming to enjoy our Friday Fish Fry can visit this table and purchase baked goods to take home. All proceeds from this event will be donated to Pines Of Peace. We appreciate the various churches and organizations in the area who have taken turns to provide the baked goods for this table. This has been done in past years and is a way that we can work with the community to help a member of our community. All donations of baked goods are welcome. WAYNE DISTRICT MASONS TO HOST GOLF TOURNAMENT AT ONTARIO COUNTRY CLUB AUGUST 4, 2018 The Wayne District Masons (consisting of seven Wayne County Lodges) have joined to offer the first annual Marshall Francis Memorial Golf Tournament to be held at the Ontario Country Club on Saturday August 4, 2018. The tournament is named after a former Mason, who would host a small tournament every year for the Ronald Mc Donald Charities. In his honor the tournament has been named for him, and the charity he supported will still be supported along with the Masonic Medical Research Center in Utica, New York The Masonic Medical Research Laboratory (MMRL) was founded in 1958 by the Grand Lodge of the State of New York. It is an entity of the Grand Lodge of the State of New York with its 15 Directors being appointed serially by the Grand Master and elected by the Grand Lodge of the State of New York at its annual convocation. Originally established by the Grand Lodge of New York, the forerunner of the MMRL was known as The Masonic Foundation for Health and Human Welfare and it played a major role in the defeat of rheumatic fever. The MMRL s current focus is on Cardiovascular Disease, principally focused on Cardiac Arrhythmias and Sudden Death syndrome, including Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). In recent years, Masonic
jurisdictions of many states have joined with the Grand Lodge of the State of New York to further its important humanitarian work. The Laboratory is administered by a Board of Directors. The Board of Directors consists of up to 15 distinguished Freemasons elected to three-year terms. Their selection is based upon their outstanding business and professional experience. They all serve the Laboratory without compensation. and other Wayne County Charities to be named after the tournament. This tournament is accepting applicants to play with an entry fee of $100 each player which will include green fee, golf cart, and a ticket to the dinner in the clubhouse after the tournament. This tournament will be teams of four with awards (cash and prizes) totaling $1,000. In addition to accepting players, we are inviting area businesses to become sponsors for each Green (18), each hole (18), golf cart sponsor (fee upon request), dining room sponsor (fee upon request), Business Team Sponsor (Fee upon request), And Corporate Sponsor (s) (limited #, fee upon request) Longest drive, closest to hole, and best score awarded at dinner.
