ROACC NEWSLETTER NOVEMBER 2015 IN THIS ISSUE Business Highlight Upcoming Events New Members Member Renewals Luncheon Highlights Letter from the Chair UPCOMING EVENTS AROUND RED OAK December 5th - Christmas in Red Oak - City of Red Oak December 10th - Ribbon Cutting/Open House at Edward Jones/Barry Moore, Rep. December 12th 7-11am - Breakfast with Santa at the Lions Club NEXT FEATURED CHAMBER EVENT...

"LIKE" and "Share" the EXPO FaceBook page!!! Letter from the Chair of the ROACC Board Happy Holidays! Where did 2015 go? It's that time of year where our thoughts are going to the Holidays. There will be time off to spend with family, traveling, gift giving and such. Did you realize your business goals set for this year? What business goals you say? Did you set any for 2015? During this time of year, it is very easy to get our minds off of business and onto parties. This is the time where we need to look towards 2016 and plan for our business! Like for example - making your business presence known in our community by participating in the following events: Business Expo on Saturday April 2, 2016 Golf Tournament on Friday May 13, 2016 Founder's Day Event on Saturday, September 10, 2016 Annual Dinner and Auction Event October 15, 2016 Put these events into your business plan for 2016! Plan on making your business known here in our community. Make 2016 the best year for your business! Also I want to take time out to thank all of our members for making the Red Oak Area Chamber of Commerce the success that it is. Those of you who participate in the Chamber know the value your business gets from it. The exposure, the referrals and the relationships with other business professionals in our community. If you have not really gotten involved, come to a luncheon or get involved in one of the committees. If you have heard a speaker that really did a good job, suggest them to the Chamber. The Chamber is here for you, your business, helping you do better in business. You just have to participate. Remember our next luncheon will be on January 27, 2016 so put that in your calendar to attend! Yours in health

Dr. Brenda Ross Red Oak Chiropractic & Therapy BUSINESS HIGHLIGHT North Ellis County Outreach Pennies From Heaven North Ellis County Outreach is a Christ-centered community supported ministry that is changing lives, instilling hope and providing encouragement as a means of promoting self-sufficiency. In essence, NECO gives families what they need today while teaching them to provide for tomorrow. Some of the services NECO provides are food, clothing, some bill assistance, prescription and non-prescription medications, back to school program, holiday food boxes, toys & clothing Christmas gifts, and light home repairs for the elderly and disabled. The classes they offer for families are on budgeting, parenting, nutrition, personality, marriage, freedom through forgiveness, communication, learning how to set boundaries, and the newest class for women The Upcycled Life. NECO was formed in 2000 as a product of two agencies that merged together: Helping Hands founded in 1979 and the Red Oak Outreach founded in early 1990's. Since NECO's inception, Denise Butler has been the Executive Director working with an eleven member board of directors. The administration is paid only by funds raised at Pennies From Heaven Thrift Store. NECO does not receive any funding from the government and all private donations, grants and fund raising goes directly to families in need. NECO has been asked by other agencies to help them to become self-reliant not dependant on government funds. There are many ways to get involved: donate your clothing, furniture, housewares, etc. to the Pennies From Heaven Thrift Store at 404 S. State Hwy 342, Red Oak; mail

your cash donations to NECO, PO Box 2203, Red Oak 75154; or get personally involved by serving on the board of directors (positions available call 972-617-7261 for an application). Congratulations Caryn Stevens City of Red Oak 2015 Employee of the Year
