Centralised Testing Dates: Exams *Dates to be confirmed Tests/assessments will be written throughout the course. These tests/assessments do not count towards the final mark and are only done to evaluate progress at various stages during the course. Exam Dates: *Exams will take place in April/May and October/November annually date to be confirmed. Theory and practical exams are to be written on the dates as stipulated by the studio. Exams will be confirmed and written on completion of practical hours. Practical hours need to be completed 60 days from date of instruction. Although ideal to complete your hours per module instruction within 60 days of instruction, we understand that it might not be possible for some students. Please ask for an extension if you are unable to do this. Exams are compulsory. However, exams need to be written before the end of the same year in which you have started your course, failing which you will have to repeat the course. Exams will consist of: Written Exam between 2,5 hours and 3 hours (this will cover all theory notes received) Practical Evaluation of exercises (practical demonstration of any 5 to 8 exercises given by the examiner) Teaching Evaluation (a 55-minute Pilates teaching demonstration on a client) The pass rate for written and practical exams is 70% Exam fees: Mat - R850 (written & practical) Large Equipment R1200 (written & practical) Comprehensive R1200 (written & practical) **Should students not be able to make the exam dates above, they are welcome to apply to write their exams on different dates, subject to availability and subject to private assessor & moderator fees** Upon finishing all of the above requirements, a certificate of completion will be issued.
