Neighbourhood News DECEMBER 2017 page 3 Retirement, what retirement? What does it really mean? I hear from the experts that it is time when I won t have enough time to do all the things I have always wanted to do; that there are not enough hours in the day and I will sleep well. Having said this I am sure I will enjoy whatever it is that I find to fill my days. I have committed myself to working on a mosaic piece at least once a day, volunteering, seeing more of my grandchildren, considering a job if something irresistible comes along and maybe taking up gardening. But, I will probably annoy the heck out of my hubby, spend too much money and become a fitness freak. As this is my last Neighbourhood News I would like to take the opportunity to thank all the people who have made the past 13 years of my life a very rewarding, happy and professionally fulfilling time. I will miss each and everyone of you. Cheers Colleen Thankyou A very big thankyou to the members of the Masonic Carpentaria District Lodge for their very generous donation of tableware including cups & saucers, coffee mugs, dinner plates, side plates etc. If you know of someone who could use some of these items, please drop in and pick them up. A donation to the Centre would be appreciated. The Centre s Playtime group has grown. There are great friendships forming of young and old. It is a real pleasure to see the children laughing and playing and Mums chatting together. If you have small children from birth through to around 4 years, why not come along and join them? No need to book - just turn up for some welldeserved social therapy for you and your children. Every Wednesday from 9am COST: $2 PER FAMILY We will be having a Christmas Party with a visit from Santa on 20 December. Bring a plate of goodies to share, and don t forget a small gift for each of your children.
