As a % of overall Choices traffic this equated to 0.33% which is down on both the previous month and year (0.42% and 0.92% respectively) however, if you discounted the campaign traffic from January 2013 it is in line with what we saw this year 0.30% vs. 0.33%. The dementia guide within the Health A-Z section of the site was the largest in terms of visit breakdown, accounting for 95.2%. This area of the site is generally the most popular accounting for 56% of January's 42.9million visits. Within the dementia guide the top 3 pages generate around half of the total visits (the hub page, symptoms of dementia and caring for someone with dementia). NHS Choices was the second most popular website receiving traffic from dementia related search terms, receiving 16.3% of all search term clicks, Alzheimer's Society was the most popular website receiving just over 20% of search term clicks. Of all the search terms that generate these clicks, the top 5 terms account for 51% : Dementia (29%), Vascular Dementia (9%), What is Dementia (7%), Dementia test (4%) and Dementia symptoms (3%). Looking at Choices On-Site search for the same time period 'Dementia' ranked 110th, just 0.19% of the total searches.
