Makaton Stage 1 and 2 for parents and carers Aims: To provide a practical introduction to Makaton. Content: Covers Stages 1 and 2 of the Beginners Makaton uses signs, symbols and speech to help Course. Provides an introduction to Makaton, people communicate. Signs are used, with speech, information about the programme, signs and in spoken word order. This helps provide extra clues symbols for Stages 1 and 2, and how to use about what someone is saying.
