INTRODUCTION Dear Sport Friends, We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you in Minsk and we are proud to host the 2016 ICF Junior and Under 23 Canoe Sprint World Championships with you as our guests. It is a pleasure for us to greet hundreds of outstanding competitors, officials and participants all over the world in the capital of Belarus. We are delighted to have all of you here and grateful for travelling from different European countries and overseas for this spectacular event. 1 We are excited that 67 countries from five continents have sent their entries for this ICF Event. We are happy to bring athletes, coaches, officials, visitors, ICF sponsors and partners to the regatta course in Minsk. Our goal is to create a successful and memorable event for all participants. Together with the Belarus Canoe Association, we hope we will be able to complete that initiative. We would like to thank you again for coming to Minsk and we sincerely hope that all competitors will illustrate the power and dynamics at the regatta in canoe sprint as one of the most beautiful kind of sports. ARRIVAL AND TRANSFER FROM MINSK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT Please collect your luggage and proceed to Main Terminal and make yourself visible and known to one of our team hosts, so that they can assist you with your transportation to Minsk. ACCREDITATION CENTER 2 Dates: July 25 to 31, 2016 (from Monday to Sunday) Opening Hours: Monday: 08:00 22:00 Tuesday: 08:00 22:00 Wednesday: 08:00 22:00 Thursday: 08:00 18:00 Friday: 08:00 18:00 Saturday: 08:00 18:00 Sunday: 08:00 15:00 Place: Participating teams will arrive at the Accreditation Centre located in Belarus (Minsk, Storozhevskaya Street, 15). Note: From July 28, 2016 on Thursday, the accreditation center will move to the venue. ALL PARTICIPATING NATIONS ARRIVING BEFORE JULY 25, 2016 WILL BE ACCOMMODATED IN HOTELS AND WILL GET THEIR ACCREDITATION DURING OPENING HOURS OF THE CENTER. After having paid their dues the team leaders may collect the accreditation cards and the necessary vouchers to occupy the teams accommodation. All participants of the competition must be accredited. No access is possible to the regatta course without accreditation. You will not be accredited unless you have paid all your fees. Parking passes will also be handed over to the team leader upon accreditation together with the initial information package. Accreditation cards will be created in all cases where complete registration details were sent and photos on ICF SDP were posted prior arrival. If you have not posted your photos prior to arrival your accreditation pass will be made on the spot. Please consider it could take some time. Each team will receive one parking pass, irrespective to the number of people on the team, which is valid for the parking lot in the regatta course area where you are allowed to park with a maximum 9-seated minibus. Before leaving the accreditation center, team leaders will be asked to sign the travel info form with the official departure time of their teams. Acceptable methods of payment on the spot: in cash (Euro) and by credit cards (Visa, MasterCard).

MEALS All participants of the competition will have their meals exclusively in the restaurants of the hotels where teams are accommodated. You can find the route and the timetable in the Appendix. OFFICIAL TRAINING SESSIONS July 23, Saturday the Regatta Course is open for official training sessions. The regatta course can be reached through the cuts above the 1000m and 2000m start and paddle down in the direction of the Finish Tower. It is forbidden to use motor boats during the official trainings; coaches are permitted to follow the competitors by bike on the service path along the course. The Organizing Committee provides lifeguard service and medical care during the training sessions. TECHNICAL OFFICIALS MEETING Date: July 27, 2016 Wednesday at 12:00 am. Place: the Regatta Course OPENING CEREMONY 4 The Opening Ceremony will take place in Minsk-Arena on July 27, 2016 at 18:30. 17:30 Transportation for Opening Ceremony from s We kindly ask you to present. All participating team members are invited as spectators to look interesting show. VICTORY CEREMONIES To maintain the dignity and solemnity of the presentation ceremony the competitors receiving medals must wear proper clothing (training suits or national uniform) and footwear. All athletes (wearing their national outfit and shoes) together with the team leader of the winning nations are requested to be present at the medal ceremony meeting point (behind the finish tower) 10 minutes prior the latest for the officially scheduled victory ceremony. Victory ceremonies will start at their officially scheduled time sharp. Athletes not presented at the time of their respective victory ceremonies will not be awarded their medals after the officially allocated times of the ceremonies. CREW CHANGE You can find the corresponding form in the appendix. You can submit your completed form before the team leaders meeting to Mr. Jens Kahl, the Chief Official.

INFORMATION SERVICE The information center for the team leaders is located downstairs of the finish tower area. During the competition, the staff at the Competition Information center will provide information about start lists and results and about the whole event in general. One printed copy will always be displayed on the official message board. CANOE NUMBERS The canoe numbers can be collected on the Polyox control at embarkation pontoon and should be return to volunteers after the race on the disembarkation pontoon. 5 RESULTS The official results will be available on the web site of the Championships: http://www.canoeminsk2016.by/en/results/ ANTI-DOPING CONTROL Doping as defined in the Olympic Movement Anti-Doping Code is strictly forbidden. Anti-Doping control will be conducted in accordance with the ICF Anti- Doping control regulations. The selected competitors are subject to anti-doping control conforming to the relevant regulations. It is very important that each athlete should have their passports (or some other official paper suitable for identification) ready to present if chosen for anti-doping control for identification so make sure they do not leave it in the hotels. Doping controls will be carried out during the competition by the by Belarus National Anti Doping Agency. In accordance with the standards of ICF, the required number of samples will be taken.

DRINKING WATER Drinking bottled water will be offered to the participants during competition days. RENT A BIKE There is a special cycle path in the opposite side of the finish tower for teams bicycles. The service on rent of bicycles for coaches will be operated. Bike Rental Cost: 1 hour 10 Euro; 1 day 25 Euro; deposit 200 Euro. MEDICAL CARE 6 The following medical services are available for all official participants of the championships: doctor on duty, the ambulance, hospital and clinic assistance are near to the venue. The cost above the regular first aid, ambulance services are to be covered by your medical insurance policy. The Organizing Committee is not responsible to cover your expenses in connection with hospital treatment, dental treatment or any other medical treatment.
