Cost 2 = Wallace Cheaper than LLC, had more diversity than each Tower floor Family 2 = Wallace Moved in with a friend who had already picked her room Family 2 = Wallace A friend. Family 2 = Wallace I liked the location and that I was able to reserve a room with my childhood best friend Family 2 = Wallace friend asked me to be her room mate Family 2 = Wallace My brother lived there and liked it Family 2 = Wallace A friend was staying here Family 2 = Wallace My older siblings all lived in Wallace their first year, so I did too Family 2 = Wallace I knew a friend who lived in the hall and told about his experience in the hall Family 2 = Wallace My sister lived in Wallace. Fresh 2 = Wallace Looking for open rooms and for first year students Greek 2 = Wallace I lived in the Residence halls my first semester and fraternity the next Not Greek 2 = Wallace Quit sorority recruitment and was the next best thing Not Greek 2 = Wallace I decided not to go through formal recruitment for a sorority Not Greek 2 = Wallace Dropped out of sorority recruitment. Not Greek 2 = Wallace I was undecided about rushing a fraternity Rooms 2 = Wallace No communal bathroom and no sleeping porch Spec 2 = Wallace It was a co ed floor that was stated to prefer outdoor activities Spec 2 = Wallace I wanted to live with other students in the honors program, and was in a suite with three other honors students. Spec 2 = Wallace I was part of the CAMP program so no had to Spec 2 = Wallace Rotc commitments Spec 2 = Wallace Part of College Assistant Migrant Program so didn't really have an option they chose for us Spec 2 = Wallace CAMP Spec 2 = Wallace CALS floor Spec 2 = Wallace Honors housing was full, so I went to Wallace first year floors Timing 2 = Wallace Enrolled late, was not my first choice Timing 2 = Wallace decided to go to college last minute Timing 2 = Wallace I waited last minute and it was all that was left. Timing 2 = Wallace It's what was open Timing 2 = Wallace Last minute housing registration. Timing 2 = Wallace There wasn't any rooms in the tower left Timing 2 = Wallace Part of Delta Zeta's chapter house before it was built Timing 2 = Wallace it was one of the only options at the time 2 = Wallace Advising recommended it 2 = Wallace I had to 2 = Wallace Required 2 = Wallace I had to live here 2 = Wallace Well, it was mandatory. 2 = Wallace i have to.. 2 = Wallace I was required to since I was a Freshman 2

Rooms 3 = Upham LLC I wanted my own room Rooms 3 = Upham LLC Full kitchen offered Rooms 3 = Upham LLC Floor plans looked the best out of all the options Rooms 3 = Upham LLC I had the option to live on campus and have a room for myself Tour 3 = Upham LLC Visited before deciding. They were the nicest Tour 3 = Upham LLC I liked it better than the other options. And I stayed there before during summer programs Tour 3 = Upham LLC Visiting campus at vandal friday 3 = Upham LLC It was the nicest place to live Not Greek 4 = Other LLC dropped pin at a frat Rooms 4 = Other LLC I liked the common area downstairs and in my own room. Rooms 4 = Other LLC I had no one to rent an apartment with and I wanted a single room Rooms 4 = Other LLC It had single rooms available Rooms 4 = Other LLC Didn't make it into a sorority and a room opened up. Rooms 4 = Other LLC Transferred from Wallace. Wallace was aweful and depressing Rooms 4 = Other LLC It looked nicer than the regular dorms 4 = Other LLC i liked this the best 4 = Other LLC I dont have a car to live off campus 4 = Other LLC I transfered here 4 = Other LLC Living condition 3

Also looking to push myself academically and socially and to be surrounded by a group of automatic friends. To meet connections not only during college but who can also help me out after I graduate. family 5 = Sorority My family was Greek family 5 = Sorority My parents family 5 = Sorority My mom thought it sounded like a good experience so I looked into it and decided to rush family 5 = Sorority family connections friends 5 = Sorority Friend friends 5 = Sorority I knew I could make friends easier joining a sorority. friends 5 = Sorority I thought it would help me meet more people friends 5 = Sorority Friend friends 5 = Sorority I am an introvert and I thought a sorority would help me get out of my shell a little and meet new people who keep me motivated. friends 5 = Sorority I wanted the social atmosphere friends 5 = Sorority My friends told me about it friends 5 = Sorority Friends friends 5 = Sorority I loved the idea of starting out my college career with friends who are there to support me friends 5 = Sorority Was looking for the sisterhood friends 5 = Sorority Because it was the best option. It's a great way to be involved on campus and with other students and you make lifelong friends. friends 5 = Sorority academic program, emphasis on philanthropy, sisterhood friends 5 = Sorority Friends suport 5 = Sorority I wanted a support system and a home where I would be able to try new things and have a fun college experience. support 5 = Sorority I wanted to have a support system in place tour 5 = Sorority vandal Friday tour 5 = Sorority Vandal friday 5 = Sorority Through greek advertising 5 = Sorority recruitment 5 = Sorority I wanted to go Greek! 5 = Sorority I went through recruitment and ended up in the Delta Zeta Chapter, where we lived on the first floor of Stevenson Hall 5 = Sorority I wanted to live in my chapter house with the rest of my sorority 5 = Sorority Formal Recruitment 5 = Sorority Better than the dorms 5 = Sorority I have always wanted to be in a Greek House 5 = Sorority I wanted to experience Greek life and be part of Idaho's Greek community 5 = Sorority I wanted to live somewhere that focused on school, and philanthropy while still being able to be social and fee like I belonged even though I'm from a different state. 5 = Sorority Love Greek life 5 = Sorority Decided to go through recruitment 5 = Sorority Experience 5 = Sorority Formal Recruitment 5 = Sorority yes 5 = Sorority Recruitment 5 = Sorority I wanted to 5 = Sorority the greek system has so much to offer 5 = Sorority I wanted to 5 = Sorority Dorms and living areas too small, disgusting and food was gross. 5 = Sorority Sorority Fall Recruitment 5 = Sorority I hated Wallace 5 = Sorority I wanted to. 5 = Sorority I wanted to go greek. 5 = Sorority Looked up different options, wanted the all american experience and went greek 5 = Sorority Joined a sorority 5 = Sorority I decided I wanted to be in a sorority before coming to the U of Idaho 4

cost 6 = Fraternity Price costs 6 = Fraternity Looking at costs, offered majors, and graduation rate as compared to other Idaho colleges costs 6 = Fraternity Its was cheaper then anywhere else family 6 = Fraternity Family friends 6 = Fraternity Friends residing in the house friends 6 = Fraternity I love the brotherhood friends 6 = Fraternity Cost, friends, networking, higher grades ect. friends 6 = Fraternity Through Friends friends 6 = Fraternity Loneliness friends 6 = Fraternity Social Interaction friends 6 = Fraternity Every other option didn't have as much social interaction in a comfortable setting friends 6 = Fraternity I felt that going greek would allow me to live with a group of like minded individuals that shared a common background and would push me to achieve academic success. friends 6 = Fraternity Friends friends 6 = Fraternity Friends storeies, and experiences support 6 = Fraternity Academic support, overall quality of life tours 6 = Fraternity Went to Vandal Friday and loved it! Also wanted the real college experience 6 = Fraternity Dorms were unapealing 6 = Fraternity Always knew i wanted to rush 6 = Fraternity Cost 6 = Fraternity Recruitment convinced me it was a good place to live, my morals would be respected and shared 6 = Fraternity 2014 rush 6 = Fraternity Recruitment Word of mouth 6 = Fraternity Highest quality for the price 6 = Fraternity It was the best housing option 6 = Fraternity Dorms weren't worth it 6 = Fraternity Best Choice 6 = Fraternity It was the best option for my future 6 = Fraternity Legacy 6 = Fraternity The first year live in for a greek house was the reason that I choose UIdaho 6 = Fraternity I wanted the join a fraternity 6 = Fraternity Talked into rushing my freshman year. 6 = Fraternity Rush Recruitment 6 = Fraternity I transferred to Idaho having already been a member of my fraternity 6 = Fraternity Rush 6 = Fraternity I wanted to join an organization that would better me 6 = Fraternity I wanted to get to know a lot of people 6 = Fraternity I lived in Wallace my freshman year and hated it. So my sophmore year I decided to go Greek 6 = Fraternity Summer rush. Lots of advantages living in fraternities cost 7 = Steel House Coop Cheapest and felt had a good community cost 7 = Steel House Coop Cost cost 7 = Steel House Coop Best sense of community, cheapest cost 7 = Steel House Coop It was cheaper. famly 7 = Steel House Coop My sister lived there. tour 7 = Steel House Coop I took several tours and felt it was the best fit for me tour 7 = Steel House Coop Vandal Friday! 7 = Steel House Coop I loved the environment and the learning opportunities 5

I lived at a Montana State residence hall. I'm a transfer student 8 = Parents/Family Close to university 8 = Parents/Family I moved here 8 = Parents/Family Best option 8 = Parents/Family Close to Home and had my Major 8 = Parents/Family On a whim and a childhood dream (Moscow. I was a transfer so none of above applicable 8 = Parents/Family I was in CdA my freshman year, and I lived at home. I currently live in an apartment on A street, becuase it is cheaper than any on campus housing. 8 = Parents/Family By considering my options and choosing the one that I felt fit me best 8 = Parents/Family It made the most sense. NULL I lived on campus at a University in Colorado, where I spent my first year. I did not attend the University of Idaho for the first year. NULL really good NULL Cheapest Option 6
