F.5 Fitness Flr (Weight Area) Free weights must be restacked and barbells and dumbbells must be returned t the racks after use. D nt place free weights near r against mirrrs. Ask a Fitness Experience Assciate fr assistance if necessary. Knw yur limits. D nt lift beynd yur capabilities. Use sptters when necessary. Wellness Center Fitness staff members are allwed t spt nly if and when s/he is capable and cmfrtable with the weight being attempted. At n time will a staff member cmprmise his/her wn safety. Staff has the right t refuse service if they deem necessary. Slamming, drpping r clanking f the weights will nt be tlerated. In rder t ensure the safety f all members and preserve the equipment, and facility, please chse an apprpriate weight that will prevent yu frm slamming, drpping r clanking f the weights. Weight belts and/r ther accessries can be checked ut at the Fitness Desk with an ID card. When crwded, d nt ccupy a select weight statin fr mre than 10 minutes. Please limit circuit wrkuts t Circuit Deck r at slwer times f the day.

Mst Olympic & Pwerlifting style weight lifting is NOT allwed in the Wellness Center due t user safety cncerns. Acceptable lifts include: Frnt Squat, Full Squat, Overheard Squat, Jump Shrug, Shrug, Hang Pulls, Deadlift, Bench Press. All acceptable lifts must be handled with cntrl and perfrmed in the pwer racks. Drpping/slamming/clanking f the weights during these lifts is NOT allwed. Only deadlifts are permitted n the raised platfrm. F.6 Grup Exercise (GX) Studis Rm is available fr persnal use when classes are nt held. Shes must be wrn at all times & blinds are t remain pen. Nn-marking athletic and dance apprpriate shes nly. Bare feet are nly permitted during Wellness Center Instructr-led Yga r Barre Classes. Member must bring valid UND r Wellness Center ID t be admitted t all classes and must swipe in prir t the start f class. Arrive prir t the start f the class. The GX Class will be clsed 5 minutes after the sessin begins, n entry allwed If there are nt enugh participants t hld a class (less than 2 participants after 5 minutes f the start f the class), the class will be cancelled fr the day. Fr safety purpses classes class sizes will be limited t the numbers indicated belw: Yga 40 participants Muscle Pump/Weight Training 25 participants Zumba/Dance 50 participants Abs/Cre 40 participants. If yu shuld need t leave class prir t cmpletin, chse a lcatin near the dr as t nt disrupt the class. Equipment prvided in a grup exercise class (hand weights, mats, medicine balls, etc.) may nt be taken ut f the rm in which the class is being held. Equipment within the clsets f the GX Studi is limited t classes r persnal training sessins nly.

Participants Manual p. 4 F.7 Rck Climbing Wall Only staff and apprved, belay-trained participants are permitted t belay climbers. All climbers must check in with the climbing wall staff befre climbing. The wall is t be used nly when staff-supervised. N climbing withut shes. This means n climbing in sandals, te shes, scks r bareft. Shirts must be wrn at all times. Lse clthing and jewelry must be remved befre climbing and belaying. Observers, nn-climbers and persnal gear shuld nt interfere with the safety f climbers. Only Rck Wall Staff are allwed t alter r set climbing rutes Climb within yur limits. Lse chalk is prvided by the climbing staff and shuld remain in the climbing wall area. Participants may bring in their wn chalk, but it must remain in the climbing wall area. The Wellness Center reserves the right t remve any persn frm the premises fr unsafe r inapprpriate behavir. F.8 Cycling Studi Rm is available fr use nly when a staff member is present (i.e. an rganized grup exercise class r facility reservatin.) Members must bring valid UND ID r Wellness Center t be admitted t all classes and must swipe in prir t the start f class. Please wipe dwn the machine, including yur seat and hand rails when yu are finished. Twels and disinfectant wipes are prvided inside the Cycling Studi. Arrive prir t the start f the class. The Cycling Studi will be clsed 5 minutes after the sessin begins, n entry allwed. If there are nt enugh participants t hld a class (less than 2 participants after 5 minutes f the start f the class), the class will be cancelled fr the day. F.9 Culinary Crner Demnstratin Kitchen

The kitchen is nt fr persnal use. Fr fee-based classes, payment is required befre the start f the class. This can be paid at the Wellness Center Welcme Desk r nline. F.10 Circuit Deck Weight Machines are t be used as a circuit nly. Participants may jin circuit at any time by utilizing an unused machine. When signaled, participants will mve t the next machine t their right. F.11 Quiet Lunge The quiet lunge is intended fr meditatin, relaxatin and quiet studying. Grup studying is nt permitted in the quiet lunge. The Resurce Lunge and classrms can be utilized fr grup wrk if available. Exercise equipment is nt permitted in the quiet lunge, unless first apprved by the Crdinatr f Fitness and Nutritin. F.12 Heavy Bag/Speed Bag
