N AGS, SNAGS and MWM S (Mulligan Concept) Two-day workshop Mr Robin Blake MCSP DipTP International Maitland Teacher; Accredited Mulligan Teacher; Member of NOI Teaching Faculty Robin Blake qualified as a remedial gymnast in 1959 and physiotherapist in 1971. Until 1971 he worked in the NHS and then became a teacher of physiotherapy at Leeds and later at Sheffield City Polytechnic. From 1978 to 1988 he attended courses by Geoff Maitland at Bad Ragaz and was awarded an accreditation to teach the Maitland Concept. Since, he has taught numerous courses in the UK, Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany In 1995 Robin became a member of the Mulligan Concept Teachers Association and has again tutored many short courses on this concept. In 2004 he became a member of the Neuro Orthopaedic Institute Australia and has since taught the Mobilisation of the Nervous System course in the UK. Course Aims:! To present the principles of the Mulligan Concept! To demonstrate and practice the basic techniques described by Mulligan! To provide additional techniques in the treatment of neuromusculoskeletal disorders! To review the pathobiological mechanisms including Pain Mechanisms! To give an explanation of the possible modes of action of the Mulligan approach related to pain and limitation of movement!
