Madonna House 405 South 12th Street Quincy, IL 62301 (217) 224-7771 Volume 2 February, 2017 Grow, Thrive and Become Stronger I felt like I had no hope. When I first enrolled in Madonna House Prevention Services, I was depressed and felt like I had no hope. Madonna House Prevention Services lifted my spirits and guided me to the resources that were needed for me to get back on my feel. I am a single mother with 4 kids and pregnant with my fifth child. Madonna House helped me do things independently and was there fore me every step of the way. The assisted me with full time employment when I was only getting part time hours. The assisted me with permanent housing and now I have a four bedroom home for me and my kids. Madonna House assisted me with the resources to obtain financial assistance for housing. They gave me resources to find household items. I can now focus on my pregnancy and children and consider my family a blessing and not feel depressed anymore. I am confident now that I can care for my family. I would recommend Madonna House and Prevention Services to anyone that needs help and guidance. Ms. Patrick 11/11/2016

Our Vision Madonna House envisions a community where all individuals and families achieve their individual potential through education, income stability and healthy lives. 2017 is here. Have you set your 2017 goal(s)? Make your goals SMART Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time-sensitive. Madonna House s Everyday Life Skills Program teaches youth, men, and women to take one step at a time to reach the Yes, I did it step. A weekly donation of $5.00 will empower a family to break the cycle of instability. Set up a re-occurring gift on our web page - www.madonnahouse.net Currently our Everyday Life Skills Program serves men at New Start Rescue Mission and Fishers of Men; youth at Quincy Senior High School 9 th Hour and Quincy Junior High School. Individual prevention services are held at an off-site location. For the past 1½ years, we have piloted the Work Readiness Certificate Program. Madonna House, JWCC and the One Stop (Unemployment Office) are the three sites for individuals to become certified. By sitting on the Work Readiness Team, we are able to collaborate with local employers, other agencies, and assist men, women and youth to break the cycle of instability. We can t do this alone. We need you to take the next step and say Yes, I did it! Donate today and watch your donations improve our great community. Your continued support will also allow Madonna House to expand into other areas where our services are needed. Watch for more details in 2017!! Our programs grow based on community needs and donations. Will you partner with us to make this a better community?
