Howard 7 CERTIFIED TRAINER Drug & Alcohol Sensitivity- Developed and facilitated an educational training designed to increase line staff s knowledge of co-occurring substance use and mental health related issues so that they can more effectively deal with a client who has a substance abuse/mental health history in a substance abuse treatment setting. Effective Case Management- a comprehensive program focused on effective strategies to conduct assessments, treatment planning, aftercare and demonstrates the connectivity of each to enhance clinical services. The program focuses on evidence based strategies such as providing feedback, reflective listening, motivational interviewing, stages of change and brief interventions. LSI-R (Level of Service Inventory) A standardized risk/need biopsychosocial assessment that provides a close look at personal, situational and contextual factors linked to criminal behavior and recidivism. ADDITIONAL PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Co- facilitated a yearlong training initiative for the Juvenile Justice Commission of New Jersey in the following areas: Assessment, Case Management, Cognitive Behavioral Techniques and Relapse Prevention. Facilitated and co-facilitated Effective Case Management trainings with Adult New Jersey Parole offices, Pennsylvania Prison Society, and Community Correction staff.
