ALZHEIMER CAFES in SLOVENIA TODAY Such informal meetings are necessary, productive and effective. More than 80 locations across Slovenia Most of them are regular On each location every month or every other month In year 2016: 100 Alzheimer Cafes In year 2017: plan 150 Alzheimer Cafes

ALZHEIMER CAFES in SLOVENIA TODAY up to 120 participants 1h 30 min Lecturers are: neurologists nurses and other medical staff social workers psychologists occupational therapists

ALZHEIMER CAFES in SLOVENIA TODAY Speakers are well-known doctors and other specialists of dementia. Volunteers of Spominčica are always present. Local media and special guests are invited Invitation (leaflets, posters) Free entrance Attendance list Co-financed by FIHO, Municipality of Ljubljana, and Ministry for Social Affairs

ALZHEIMER CAFES and MEDIA We always make a lot of publicity and promotion (website, social media /FB/TW/YOU TUBE, channels of other NGOs, newspapers, TV and radio) for the event

ALZHEIMER CAFES in SLOVENIA TODAY The aim is to make these gatherings more popular, accessible and friendly to general public including smaller cities (<500 inhabitants) We will continue to spread those activites in future, because carers exposed a need for this sort of gatherings

ALZHEIMER CAFES in SLOVENIA TODAY We expect AC will continue to contribute: to an an early recognition of dementia to dementia friendly communities to promote dignity and rights of PwD to ease caregiver burden to make better quality of life with PwD
