The Tattler Rotary Club of La Mesa Volume 2015-16, No.61 Meeting Date: 9/16/15 Wednesday s ednesday s @ Noon, La Mesa Community Center, 4975 Memorial Drive, La Mesa CA 91942 John Zavaro International Health Collective The International Health Collective is a student run organization through the University of California, San Diego, strongly supported by faculty in the UCSD School of Medicine and Department of Bioengineering at the UCSD Jacobs School of Engineering. Our Tax ID# is 95-6006144. 6006144. International Health Collective exists to provide underserved communities in Tijuana, Mexico with free medical consultation, medication, and health education. Unfortunately, due to lack of access to quality health care and/or availability of monetary funds, these individuals are unable to both seek help and treat their illnesses. Globally, poverty and limited access to medical care are unsettling and the lack off financial resources to build, maintain, and stabilize proper health care systems has worsened the public health of the Tijuana community. During our excursions to Tijuana, Mexico, we will provide great care and attention to those who seek our help. The medical team and volunteers, who provide their time and expertise to the International Health Collective, possess undaunted dedication and are proud ambassadors of goodwill to not only the patients themselves, but to their Lunch Time Service Opportunities September 16, 16 2015 Greeter Scott Elam Songs Rose Hurst Pledge Al Lantz Thought Tim Miller Raffle Brant Rustich Fine Dale Bailey 4 4-Way Gary Clasen September 23, 23 2015 Greeter Mary Ellington Songs Deryk Inn Pledge Steve Looser Thought Ron Morell Raffle Jay Thompson Fines Sam Bauchmann 4 4-Way Jack Dargitz September 30, 30 2015 Greeter Mike Fellows Songs Mel Jacobson Pledge Larry Mascari Thought Duane Palmer Raffle Bonnie Welch Fine Martin Brickson 4 4-Way Marsha Darling families and communities.
