Business on Positions as of January 2018 Organisation Position Location Skills required Time Commitment Ark Housing Association provides social housing accommodation for rent to those in housing need. They provide 425 homes throughout Northern Ireland for families, elderly people, those with disabilities, singles and others in housing need and have ambitious plans for growth over the next five years. They operate a family homeless centre providing temporary accommodation and support services for a wide range of client needs in partnership with the Housing Executive, Social Services and other partner organisations. Arts & Disability Forum - The ADF is a catalyst for empowering disabled people who are interested in the arts. It promotes artistic excellence and equity of access to arts and culture.it is the only NI organisation representing the interests of disabled artists. s The suitable candidates will have skills and/or experience in one or more of the following areas: Finance Social Housing Audit, Compliance and Risk Management Organisational Development and Change Management Business Improvement and Customer Excellence Strategic Leadership & Policy HR, PR & Community Engagement Equality, Diversity and Good Relations Treasurer Accountancy and Financial Management skills. s are expected to attend 6-8 times per annum for evening meetings from 5:30pm- 7:30 pm Attendance at board meetings is essential. Meetings take place once every 4-6 weeks and last for two hours.

Trustee There is a need to broaden the level of expertise to complement the existing Trustees. In addition, the Centre is too reliant on grant aid income and needs to generate additional income. Therefore, skills in business development, marketing, finance and fundraising would be welcome, with a view to trying to achieve sustainability moving down the route of a social enterprise model. Currently the general committee meets on a monthly basis in the evening, commencing at 7.30pm and usually finishing around 9.00pm. The requirement is for a minimum of 10 meetings per annum. There will be some work outside of the committee meetings but this is minimal less than 1 hour per week. Our meets roughly 7 times a year for meetings which last 2-3 hours. The chair will also be required to also chair our Finance and Audit Sub-Committee which meets roughly 3 times a year. They will meet regularly with the Partnership Manager to agree Agendas, check progress against annual work plans and discuss any other developments The time commitment would be two hours every two months for Trustee meetings and whatever additional time commitment the individuals can make.

CLARE connects older people to social supports in the community to help maintain them at home and keep them well. CLARE matches volunteers Community Champions to older people to help get to medical appointments, social activity and combat isolation. CLARE has developed a bespoke IT system to record activity and provide statistical reports; they are about to enter into a business partnership to market the system. CLARE is also seeking significant funding from a number of sources to offer CLARE model across all of as we are currently only operational in North. Community Evaluation NI is an independent specialist support organisation providing research, evaluation and outcomes development services to the third sector, funders and policy makers. The organisation is governed by a of Directors comprising up to 10 individuals, with representation from a range of sectors with an interest in evaluation and impact issues including the voluntary and community sectors, the statutory sector, funders and academics. The CENI board meets six times a year. meetings are normally held over lunch-time 12.30 to 2.00pm in. Attendance at CENI events and conferences would also be appreciated and whatever additional time commitments individuals can make. Aspire is in the final stages of setting up as a Co Ltd by Guarantee and are seeking a new member with relevant business skills, particularly in the area of social enterprise, to Aspire Director Coleraine business skills, especially social enterprise. They will also have an understanding of delivering project outcomes and income generation in a community context. Directors meet every six weeks for a two-hour meeting. There are also ad-hoc sessions around project and social enterprise planning which are optional but which we would hope most Directors would attend.

Attendance at meeting is essential. The meet 5 times a year, these meetings last for approximately 1.5 hours. s may also be required to attend sub-committee meetings. These take place 5 times per year, lasting approximately 1.5 hours. The hold a strategy day once a year in October/ November. meetings take place once every two months (on Tuesday evenings) and last for approximately 90 mins. Follow up work and support varies but would tend to be infrequent. They operate three budget youth hostels across Northern Ireland: in, Bushmills and White Park Bay and they also have an affiliated hostel in the City of Armagh.

Huntington s Disease Association (HDANI) works throughout Northern Ireland providing support, information, advice and social connections to those living with the impact of Huntington s Disease. They run regional support groups, provide telephone and face to face advice and support as well as opportunities for families to connect through our events and befriending services. La Dolce Vita Project is a counselling and support service that works with those impacted by domestic abuse, regardless of the gender. La Dolce Vita Project provide support through methods such as counselling, Telephone, online support, workshops and open discussions. Treasurer x4 Derry/Lon donderry Derry/Lon donderry an accounting qualification (ACCA or equivalent), and must have previous experience in accounts. La Dolce Vita Project have no specific requirements, but they would prefer applicants with a good level of education. The suitable applicant must be able to attend 6 board meetings a year (each last approximately 90 minutes). They are also required to attend 1 annual general meeting (lasting approximately 90 minutes). Northern Ireland Environment Link is the networking and forum body for environmental charities and groups in Northern Ireland. It provides a reliable and convenient single point of contact to a diverse range of environmental charities, working in urban and rural areas across Northern Ireland. Director legal expertise. The NIEL of Directors meets 4 times a year. The Finance and Human Resources (FHR) Committee, a subcommittee of the NIEL board also meets 4 times a year and reports to the full board meeting.
