Cadaveric-based learning with a procedurally focused application of Globus Medical technology from start to finish. CADAVERIC Course The MERC Advanced Trauma Techniques program is intended for Fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeons and practicing neurosurgeons that perform complex instrumented spinal procedures. This unique course will provide an outstanding opportunity to understand the current techniques used to treat advanced spinal trauma cases. At the conclusion of this course participants will gain an understanding of how to properly evaluate the patient and apply surgical techniques. Each participant will have extensive hands-on time with a 2:1 surgeon to faculty ratio. The following techniques will be addressed in the BioSkills lab: Posterior Techniques Lateral Extracavitary Approach Minimally Invasive Techniques Target Audience: Enrollment in this course is open to practicing orthopaedic and neurological spine surgeons.
