Appropriate selection of the alcohol chain length and degree of ethoxylation can provide the surfactant properties for a particular application. Primarily emulsifiers are most appropriate to the formulation of vegetable oils, glycerides, higher viscosity paraffinic oils, cycle oils and waxes. Castor oil ethoxylates are used as emulsifiers and dispersing agents for water-miscible formulations.
