Universal Arming (Uni Arm): When enabled, yur alarm system can autmatically determine whether t arm in the Full mde r in the pre-set Partial mde by lking t see if yu exit yur premises r stay inside after arming yur system. Armed Light The armed light is "n" when the system is armed. The armed light is "ff' when it is disarmed. The armed light will flash when there has been an alarm during the previus arm cycle. Bypass Light The bypass light is "n" when any zne in this cde pad's area is bypassed. The zne(s) that is bypassed will als be illuminated. If the bypass light is "ff', n znes are bypassed. Chime Light The chime light is "n" when the chime feature is "n"; "ff' therwise. Exit Light The exit light is "n" during the exit delay. Please nte that the light will flash during the last 10 secnds f the exit delay as a warning that the time is running ut. (The user may want t restart the exit delay if the exit light is flashing in rder t prevent an alarm. The user may then press the [Exit] key t restart the exit delay befre the delay expires.) Beeps fr all key presses Sunds a cntinuus tne during the entry delay time. Pulses when a day zne is vilated while the system is disarmed. Pulses when a fire zne has a truble cnditin. Beeps 3 times fr trying t arm with the "Ready" light ff, if "Frce Arming" has nt been selected. Beeps fr 1 secnd r emits a "ding-dng" sund fr the "Chime" feature. Fire Light A steady fire light means a fire zne has been faulted. A rapidly flashing fire light means that a fire zne is in a truble cnditin. Beeps during an exit delay; beeps rapidly fr the last 10 secnds beeps 1 secnd at the end f the exit delay. f an exit delay; and On Light The n light is "n" when the system is armed. The n light is "ff' when it is disarmed. Pulses when the armed status changes and the AC pwer is ff. Partial Light The partial light is "n" when the system is armed in the Partial Mde. All nn bypassed znes will be delayed and fllw the Partial delay time. When armed in Partial Mde, the Arm, On, and Bypass lights will als be "n". Pwer Light The pwer light is n if the primary pwer is n. The pwer light will flash if the system has a lw battery cnditin. Ready Light The ready light is "n" when the system is ready t arm and "flashes" if ready t frce arm. The ready light is ff when the system is nt ready t arm because f a zne(s) being faulted. Zne Light The zne lights are "ff' when everything is nrmal. A zne light will be "n" if the zne has been bypassed. If a zne light is "flashing", that zne is in alarm r has been faulted. If a zne light is "flashing" rapidly, it means that the zne is in a truble cnditin. Truble cnditins are: Hardwire Zne Tamper, Wireless Zne Tamper, Sensr Lw Battery and Sensr Lss f Supervisin (A cmbinatin f Alarm/Fault and Tamper/Truble will prduce a rapid "flashing" light fr a shrt perid f time, fllwed by a slw "flashing" light.) Pulses when the armed status changes and any zne(s) is bypassed. Pulses when the armed status changes and a lw battery is detected. Pulses when the armed status changes and a tamper cnditin is detected. Beeps t indicate telephne line cut, if selected. Pulses when ne r mre f the fllwing cnditins are detected: zne r bx tamper, lw battery, AC pwer fail, r expander truble. Entering a valid cde will silence the cde pad sunder when it is pulsing. FULLY ARMING THE SYSTEM - ON MODE PARTIALLY ARMING THE SYSTEM - ON is used when the user is away frm the premise and wants the interir prtected. belw are the steps t arm in the ON Mde: HOME MODE Listed Clse all prtected drs and windws. Ready light will light when all prtected znes and sensrs are secure. NOTE: If any znes are bypassed, a sensr in that zne can be vilated withut affecting the ready light. The security system will nt arm if the ready light is nt n. If the pwer light is ff, yu have n AC pwer. Restre pwer if pssible. If nt, cntact yur installatin cmpany. Hme Mde is an easy-t-use feature that allws yu t temprarily exclude sme rms frm security arming. Fr example, yu may wish t exclude bedrms at night when they are in use. Hme Mde is als used fr prtecting exterir drs and windws (the hme perimeter) when the user is inside. 1. PARTIAL is used when the user is inside the premise and wants perimeter. Listed belw are the steps t arm in the PARTIAL Mde: Enter yur 4 digit user cde t arm the system. The armed and exit lights will illuminate. Yu may nw leave the building via the designated exit path. Nte: The exit light will flash rapidly fr the last 10 secnds f the exit delay as a warning t the user that the exit time is abut t expire. Page 6 DISARMING - FROM THE ON OR PARTIAL MODE When yu enter the prtected area thrugh ne f the designated Entry/Exit drs, the cde pad cntrl will sund a slid cntinuus tne fr the duratin f the entry delay time, r until yu enter a valid cde. After entering a valid cde the red armed light will g ff and the tne will stp. The security system is nw DISARMED. If a valid cde is nt entered befre the end f the entry delay, an alarm will ccur. (NOTE: If the red armed light is flashing during the entry delay, the alarm system has been activated in yur absence. Leave the building immediately and call yur alarm cmpany and/r the plice frm a safe lcatin.) Example shws a User cde f 1234 being used t Disarm the system frm the ON r PARTIAL Mde. Page 7

CHANGING I ADDING USER CODES This is used t temprarily exclude ne r mre znes that wuld nrmally be prtected. instance, a pet may need t be left in a part f the huse that is usually prtected. Fr If yu wish t bypass ne r mre znes, this must be dne while the system is in the disarmed state. The fllwing steps are used fr bypassing znes. Once yu have Bypassed the zne(s) yu may Arm the system via the ON r PARTIAL Mde. When yur security system is disarmed, any znes which have been temprarily islated r bypassed will be reset, and will therefre be prtected when the system is armed again. T manually unbypass znes, perfrm the bypassing prcedure n a zne that is already bypassed. The crres ndin Ii ht fr that zne will 0 ff when un-b assed. This example shws bypassing znes 4 and 5. 1. Press the [BYPASS] a user key. 2. (OPTIONAL) Enter a user cde. (The bypass light flashes.) 3. Enter a 2-digit zne indicating the zne yu wish t bypass. (Example: Press the [0]-[4] key fr zne 4, press [0]-[5] fr zne 5.) The crrespnding light fr that zne will turn n when bypassed. 4. Press the [BYPASS] key again. 1. Press the [BYPASS] key. On ccasin yu may need t change yur arm/disarm r fr yur wn cnvenience. User Cdes are 4 digits lng and must all be different t each ther. A master Cde must be used t Change and Add user cdes. The default master cde is user cde ne [01] with a cde f [1234]. Any user cde can be assigned as a master cde (See User Cde Authrisatin). Nte the system must be disarmed befre user cdes can be changed r added. Example shws user ne [01] cde change. 1. Enter functin five [*5]..e. 2. Enter an existing master cde..0 3. Enter the user cde t add r change. 4. Enter the new fur-digit user cde. Repeat steps 3 and 4 fr additinal user cdes. 5. Enter [#] when cmpleted. 2. (OPTIONAL) Enter a user cde. A ding-dng is sunded frm the cde pad when the prtected area is entered, fr example, when an infant pens the dr. The dr chime is turned n r ff by pressing the [CHIME] key while the system is in the disarmed state. If the chime is n, the chime light will be illuminated. If the chime is ff, the chime light will be ff. Each press f the [CHIME] key will tggle the chime feature n/ff. Chime Mde must be prgrammed by yur Installatin Cmpany. Tell the installer if Chime Mde is required fr an areas. Press the [CHIME] key t turn n r turn ff the chime feature. Page 10 Page 11

Enter yur cde t silence the cde pad. Wait a few minutes and repeat the reset functin t attempt anther reset. If the cde pad still beeps after repeated attempts, please cntact yur installer. e. 1. Enter yu cde t silence the cde pad sunder. 2. Enter the reset functin. Press this key and hld fr tw (2) secnds t activate the medical/auxiliary alarm.
