ABILITY VO2MAX FRESHMAN STUDIES PJKR STKIP PASUNDAN CIMAHI 2016/2017 ACADEMIC YEAR Gita Febria Friskawati, Pjkrstkippasundancimahi.ac.id ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine VO2max kemamapuan freshman PJKR study program STKIP Pasundan Cimahi Academic Year 2016/2017. The population in this study were all new students study program PJKR STKIP Pasundan Cimahi Academic Year 2016/2017 which amounted to 432 people. Sampling technique used in this study is Purpousive Sampling, sample in this study as many as 40 new student study program PJKR STKIP Pasundan Cimahi Academic Year 2016/2017. The instrument used to measure the level of VO2max is a test Beep Test with the criteria of Davis, at.all (1992). The method used is descriptive quantitative method. Data from the description shows that the level of VO2max for student daughter has a category Superior 7%, 7% in the category of Very Good, 8% in the Good category, 10% in the Medium category, 25% in less category and 43% in the category Very Less. Overall it can be concluded that the ability to VO2 Max on a new student study program PJKR STKIP Pasundan Cimahi 2016/2017 Academic Year in the category of very less. Based on the research results, it is necessary efforts to improve the ability of VO2 Max on a new student study program through lectures PJKR kecabangan practice sports. Keywords: Level of VO2max, Student Study Program PJKR VO2max is a good ability is indispensable for student study program PJKR STKIP Pasundan Cimahi to run the course every day, because almost all of the subjects in the early stages is a subject the practice of sports such as athletics, swimming, gymnastics, soccer, etc. Sports that are taught in the lecture has karakeristik are different from each other. Therefore, the student is required to always physically fit so that it can adapt to the intensity of the courses that contain practice sports. Someone who has a high VO2max then he will be able to do the work / workout in a long time, and certainly very capable of doing it with the same intensity if the duration is shorter. Giriwijoyo (2010: 24). Bute, Shatee, Khan (2014) reveals that "The present study Showed more VO2 max levels in female athletes. Now a days, physical inactivity is seen Among students roomates due to sedentary lifestyle may lead to many health problems. Hence, we suggest that students should get involved in sports and it should make a compulsory subject in colleges ". The study revealed that the rate of female athletes VO2 max is better than women having inactivity (lazy to move), many health problems that may occur because of this. Therefore, it is advisable to make sports compulsory subjects that the student actively engaged. Fauzan, Rusdiana and Ruhayati (2015: 1), "One element of physical condition is vital in sport is cardiorespiratory endurance, aerobic and anaerobic. Measurement of cardiorespiratory endurance for aerobic capacity can be done by measuring the maximal oxygen consumption (VO2max) ". People with a good fitness level has a higher VO2max values and able to perform more strongly than those who are not in good condition (Rodrigues, 2006). Student who lectures in courses PJKR least VO2max requires the ability to perform activities like lectures more motion on every sport every day. Physical fitness of a person depends on the cardio-respiratory endurance someone. VO2 max (maximal oxygen uptake / maximal aerobic power / aerobic capacity) is Widely accepted as the best measure of

cardio-respiratory endurance. VO2 max Refers to the level of oxygen consumption beyond the which no urther Increase in oxygen consumption Occurs with further increase is in the severity of exercise. (Doijad, Kamley, Surdi, 2013). VO2max is a measure to determine the cardio-respiratory endurance someone. VO2max is the level of consumption of oxygen (O2) when exercising. The body's need O2 determined by the intensity (weight) motion or exercise performed, (Giriwijoyo, 2012). Kuntaraf and Kuntaraf (1992: 35) in Nugroho (2010) stated that the VO2 Max is measured in terms of the number of milliliters of oxygen consumed per kg body weight every minute. For example, the average student - average has a VO2 max of 40-50, while the student has a VO2 max between 35-45. Generally, men have a higher VO2 max level 40-60% than women. For example, the level of VO2 max of a man who did not actively exercise is 3.5 liters / minute and 45 ml / kg / min, and a woman who are not active in sports have an average VO2 max of 2 liters / minute and 38 ml / kg / minute. The figure can be increased by applying active sports although the numbers are relative. Some are able to increase the number of max VO2 levels up to twice as much, but there is also no increase at all though it was active in sports. Ability VO2 max between male and female students will certainly be different, therefore the adjustment of activities undertaken in the course needs to be done. To assess a person's fitness to perform aerobic exercise such as by measuring the maximal oxygen consumption (VO2 max). VO2 max is the maximum amount of oxygen that can be consumed during physical activity. (Watulingas, Rampengan, Polii, 2013). The increasing intensity of work to limit the maximum VO2 will lead to one in the consumption of oxygen, which occurs stable state (plateau) or slightly decreased in the pulse. (Nugroho, 2010). Moderate aerobic exercise has significant effects on improvement of health related physical fitness components, (Hosiso, Rani Rekoninne, 2013). Moderate intensity exercise has a significant impact on the improvement of physical fitness components, one of which is the ability of VO2 Max. Thus the practice of lecturing activities to be performed by students of the academic year 2016/2017 PJKR can megarahkan students to exercise at moderate intensity kecabangan sport in order to improve VO2max. VO2 max is probably the, best physiological indicator of a person's capacity to continue severe work. It is the most important aspect of fitness Because It serves as a barometer for the overall health of our heart. Cardio-respiratory fitness is a health-related component of physical fitness that relates to ability. (Rana, Ghost, Katarjee, 2015). VO2 max is also an indicator of a person's capacity to perform a movement activity / employment. VO2 max is also an important aspect to fitness as a barometer of overall health, especially cardiovascular health. Some research indicates that the sportsmen who are successful in endurance numbers consistently show a high value VO2 Max. VO2 Max achieved the highest value in sports that require the use of a relatively huge energy in the long term. (Mc. Clenaghan, 1993: 257) in Nugroho (2010). Other studies have observed a close relationship between VO2 Max and endurance sports performance numbers such as long-distance running, swimming and cycling. (Nasrulloh, 2014). Obviously the ability VO2max will be a barometer to measure the ability of the ones coeds PJKR study program to prepare for the run lectures practice and excel in the Student Activity Unit (UKM) sports in STKIP Pasundan Cimahi METHODS The research method in this research uses descriptive quantitative research methods. Acquisition of data obtained from the measurement of the ability of VO2max freshman PJKR Study Program 2016/2017 academic year, amounting to 432 people, the population. The instrument used to measure the ability of VO2max is to use the test beep test of Davis, at.all (1992). Samples in this study is a whole number of new student PJKR Study Program 2016/2017 academic year were about 40 people were taken to the sampling technique purpousive sampling, with krieria only student to be sampled in this study.

Calculations start by counting the number of overall score, average, standard deviation and variance to determine the distribution of the data of the score ability VO2 Max freshman PJKR study program, then calculate the frequency acquisition and the percentage score for each criterion of ability VO2 Max for women. RESULT The results of research in the form of data VO2max was calculated with data describing the overall start of calculating the average, standard deviation and variance to determine the distribution of the data. Then calculated the percentage of VO2max results ability students in accordance with the criteria of ability VO2max namely Superior (SS), Very Good (SB), Good (B), Medium (S), Less (K) and Very Less (SK). Here is the description of the percentage of VO2 Max ability of students study program PJKR the academic year 2016/2017. Here is the description of the percentage of VO2 Max capability freshman PJKR Study Program 2016/2017 academic year. In Table 1. Explain the overall description of the data acquisition VO2max. Deviation Variance VO2MAx_Putri 40 17 46 1152 28.80 8.102 65.638 Valid N (listwise) 40 From the data in Table 1, it is known that the ability of VO2 Max score a minimum of measurements on the acquisition of a new student study program PJKR STKIP Pasundan Cimahi force 2016/2017 amounted to 17 and the maximum score was 46 with an average overall score of 28.80 acquisition. To determine the distribution of the data acquisition capabilities VO2 Max score on a new student study program PJKR then, Table 2 describes the frequency acquisition capability VO2 Max score. Table 2. Frequency Acquisition of ability scores VO2 Max Criteria Frequency Percentage Superior 3 7% VeryGood 3 7% Good 3 7% Medium 4 10% Lessthan 10 25% Very Less 17 43%

In table 2. It can be explained that the ability of VO2max on a new student study program PJKR STKIP 2016/2017 Pasundan Cimahi force as many as 3 people have criteria Superior with an overall percentage of 7%, 3 people have criteria Very Good with a percentage of 7%, 3 Neither have the criteria with a percentage of 7%, 4 people have criteria Medium with a percentage of 8%, 10 people had less criteria with an overall percentage of 25% and 17 criteria very less with an overall percentage of 43%. Percentage Score Criteria Ability VO2max at the New Student Program PJKR studies STKIP Pasundan Cimahi force 2016/2017 Based on the percentage of the data presented in the diagram shown in Figure 1. The acquisition capability that VO2 Max students obtained daughter of 7% has a category Superior, 7% in the category of Very Good, 8% in the Good category, 10% in the Medium category, 25% in Less category and 43% in the category Very Less. DISCUSSION Ability VO2 Max on the students will be different with the ability to VO2 Max in students. As said by Kathleen Liwijaya Kuntaraf and Jonathan Kuntaraf (1992: 35) in Nugroho (2010), the average student has a VO2 max of 40-50, while the student has a VO2 max between 35-45. Many factors can affect the ability to VO2 Max on a new student PJKR study programs, such as the background of the usual physical activity, active lifestyle, weight, dll.seperti disclosed by Saxena, et al (2012), 'Low levels of activity in majority of girls at 17 years old. Time constraints and laziness most common reasons given for inactivity '. Most of the girls aged 17 years have a lower level of activity. Most of them reasoned lazy to do activities. Meanwhile, according to Vilhjalmsson & Kristjansdottir (2013) menuebutkan that, "Girls of lower enrollment in organized sports fully accounts for gender differences in overall physical activity, and largely accounts for differences in frequency of Strenuous activity". Women have a low involvement in sports activities in full in the frequency and types of weight or absence of activities undertaken.

Psychologically, motivation rejama women and men doing physical activity are very different. As has been revealed by The President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports Report (2010) reveals that, "HAS ALSO Recent research suggested that the motivation for girls may be somewhat different from the boys in the physical activity settings. For example, it appears that the motivational dimensions of girls' participation are integrally linked with self-perceptions, but not so strongly linked for boys ". Differences in motivation among young women and men doing physical activity is visible from the engagement undertaken in conducting all sorts of physical activities. Theoretically, motivation, laziness for activities and involvement in sports activities as well as activities that are heavy on while sitting in High School (SMA) and in the environment around the house to be the cause of very low levels of VO2 Max is owned by the new student Study program PJKR STKIP Pasundan Cimahi force 2016/2017. In fact, it should be when adolescence to adulthood coeds doing physical activity is at its peak, so the ability of their VO2max can be good. As explained by Yungblut, Schinke, McGannon (2011: 39) that, "Early adolescence is a time when a transition away from sport and physical activity participation is at its highest level Among female youth". Unfortunately, most of the female students do not perform regular physical activity, so that they are within the criteria of VO2max is very less.many ways to improve VO2max ability possessed by the student PJKR study programs, one of which is through lectures organized practice every day. Presentation of various learning vareasi expected to be the motivation for the student to be able to take the classes with good practice. As revealed by Nugroho (2010) which states that "After doing circuit training (circuit training) obtained results are the effect of circuit training to increase aerobic endurance (VO2 Max) amounted to 43.10%." Additionally Hottenrott, et al (2012) reveal that, "Short, intensive endurance training sessions of about 30 min are effective inimproving aerobic fitness". Class practices conducted during the 2x 45 minutes of each meeting, which will be carried out are expected to improve the ability of new students VO2max study program PJKR STKIP Pasundan Cimahi academic year 2016/2017. In accordance with the findings of the conclusions in the study, the suggestions of this research is the study program PJKR should do VO2max test to determine the ability of the beginning of the student that can be used as a benchmark kardiorespiratorinya fitness. Recommendations from these results that the lecture practice organized by study program PJKR STKIP Pasundan Cimahi particular and study program PJKR in every College in general in order to improve VO2max student through the course of practice kecabangan sport by creating a learning program in accordance with the level of generating capacity coed, CONCLUSION Ability VO2 Max coed obtained by 7% had a Superior category, 7% in the category of Very Good, 8% in the Good category, 10% in the Medium category, 25% in less category and 43% in the category Very Less. Overall, it can be concluded that the ability of VO2 Max student study program PJKR STKIP Pasundan Cimahi academic year 2016/2017 in the category Very Less REFERENCES Bute, Shatee, Khan. (2014).
