Bringing Balance to Your Blood Sugar! Presented by: Sarah Ernest Naturopath, Master Herbalist, InForm Coach Natural Help for the Pancreatically Challenged Hypoglycemia Pre-Diabetes & Diabetes (Type 2) 1

What is Hypoglycemia? According to WebMD Hypoglycemia is a low level of blood sugar. The cells in your body use sugar from carbohydrates for energy. Insulin, which normally is made in the pancreas, is necessary for sugar to enter the cells. It helps keep the levels of sugar in the blood from getting too high. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/166815.php Symptoms of Hypoglycemia According to WebMD Mild symptoms include: Dizziness Irritability Moodiness or sudden changes in behavior Hunger Shakiness Sweating Anxiety Rapid heart beat I m sorry for what I said when I was hangry! 2

What is Pre-Diabetes? According to WebMD Pre-diabetes is a wake-up call that you re on the path to diabetes. But it s not too late to turn things around. If you have it (like 86 million other Americans), your blood sugar (glucose) level is higher than it should be, but not in the diabetes range. People used to call it "borderline" diabetes. Normally, your body makes a hormone called insulin to help control your blood sugar. When you have prediabetes, that system doesn't work as well as it should. You might not be able to make enough insulin after eating, or your body might not respond to insulin properly. Prediabetes makes you more likely to get heart disease or have a stroke. https://www.webmd.com/diabetes/what-is-prediabetes-or-borderline-diabetes What is Diabetes? According to WebMD Diabetes is a number of diseases that involve problems with the hormone insulin. Normally, the pancreas (an organ behind the stomach) releases insulin to help your body store and use the sugar and fat from the food you eat. Diabetes can occur when the pancreas produces very little or no insulin, or when the body does not respond appropriately to insulin. https://www.webmd.com/diabetes/default.htm 3
